As the thread title says my other half is dead set on the idea of getting a box mod. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on which one would be a good buy?? Where to buy one from? ? And how much would be a fair price to pay for one??

Can only talk from my own experience but I'm sure others will be along soon to comment.
MVP is just about the best thing on the market for reliability. But for a more advanced user the IPV v2 is a cracking mod, been using mine for around three weeks now and it's faultless. (Good price at Myepack right now) .
Cheers

Does he want regulated or other? Does he like to use drippers at low ohms or just a regular tank?
There's a good variation in what they can do so I think more details on what sort of vaper he is would be good.

Innokin VTR.... winnietyson - don't know the cheapest in UK and don't always trust China but reckon it should be about £50... I have destroyed many mods. The VTR has barely been out of my hand for 6 months tomorrow and it has survived.... Handy things to get with itair flow controller (it's essential) to protect the threads on the connector Cotton wool tips in case of resistance probs with your atty (to clean out crud in an around connector) Optional (well for the summer)Leather wrap from here - she has a back log of orders and she 'aint cheap but email her via etsy and she will sort you out . Have yet to get mine I ordered a week ago but she did say there was a 2 week waiting list for custom wraps. I have thoroughly road tested the VTR - it lasts! Only thing hubby should be warned about is it is heavy (about 450g/1lb in weight) but you soon get used to it. Not an issue in my book Hope that helps Jane

Vtr is great but it is HEAVY. It was too heavy for me both in hand and in pocket. I swapped with a member for a ipv2 and I love that. The focal hana is decent, I liked mine but I slightly preferred the ipv2 so passed it on. Istick is amazing if you like the small form factor. All are good devices for the money

I've a little used IPV2 in Gunmetal Grey that I bought from Liberty Flights before iStickitus hit me winnietyson . . . I was going to pop it on the Classifieds when I summoned up the energy, but if your hubby could be interested in it, then you're welcome to it. It's a little big for my hand if I'm honest, though it vapes extremely well!

I love my ipv2 but I did replace the screws with magnets, the screws were the only negative for me.

+1 for the ipv2. I have a few mods but rarely use anything else
