It strikes me that we do not have a forum rule against forms of discrimination. To that end, I would suggest that we make an addition to the forum rules, something along the lines of the following:
(9) This forum values the individual diversity that creates such a vibrant and valuable community. As a member of this community you will respect that diversity too.
Just my two cents.

Chris as per @spikeyfridge's posts, proboards TOS, that everyone agrees to, when registering, already covers the issue.

Sadly not many will read the rules which includes me but fortunately most members on AAEC are brought up with decency and respect. One or two creatures have service from the deep murky waters and will learn AAEC will not be a sinking ship with Chrissie and the mods at the helm and will search for another ship to destroy.

Hmm, I'm a great believer in, the better the community, the less rules required.

I guess, I just don't see any harm in adding it to the more prominent list.

I know what you mean chris but we bring in one rule then someone objects to something else, we'll be over run with rules and regs. Best to police ourselves and set our own decency filters, as we do on the whole. Some things have made me cringe but more fool the poster for being so indiscreet.

I would like a rule that admin and mods were given enough time to discuss issues so as to try to come to a fair decision in line with ProBoards T+Cs and reflecting AAEC's ethos. It is possible to 'block' members so you don't see their posts and also sometimes just a good idea to take a step back from the keyboard. I'm very much aware that if a member is upset or offended they want resolution as quickly as possible and we do strive to do that, however the forum is very busy and Chrissie Perpetua jess and myself all lead busy lives away from the forum. So a rule giving us a wee bit time would be good in my book

Fair enough.
When you say we will "Police ourselves" you have now got me wondering if there are any particularly "police-esque" mods. I'm talking blue flashing lights on top of a vamo?

If it doesn't flash, it doesn't get out of the gate.
I don't have one though, so I wouldn't know. Not quite sure how I have not ordered one yet.
