"Labour's Kevin Barron, former chairman of the Commons' health committee, said: 'We have to be very careful when people are coming off cigarettes and on to e-cigarettes that we encourage them – it's better for their health.'" I bet Linda McAven loved that comment from a Labour member

No offence but if I was on a tour of Westminster I wouldn't vape inside out of respect fir the historical importance of the building. ( I'd be working out where to stash the gunpowder) Some peeps are their own worst enemy's. At least a few politicos seem to have found a speck if common sense in their champagne and blinis addled brains.

Surely Parliament is a workplace and if they are trying to stop people vaping in the workplace it should apply to them also

I would fully expect vaping to be banned in the chamber, the good thing this will do is for MPs to begin to show some common sense about vaping in general, as per mr labour ex-smoker is doing It may well help the cause going forward

It's the first positive......well almost positive.......thing I've heard any MP say for a long, long, looooooong time. I hope the proposed ban is thrown out, and common sense prevails. Also sounds as though there might be a few vapers in the houses who are scared they'll be banned from vaping at work! And hopefully this will help inform decisions made regarding vaping indoors generally across the country?
