Age is a strange thing, mostly for females.  When you're about 8, you can't wait to be a teenager. When you reach teen age, you can't wait to be 20, a "real" adult. In your 20's, you don't mind telling people your age, all is fine. After 30, you hesitate about divulging your age, depends who's asking and why. Once you hit 40, that's it. Your age is your own business and stays that way until you reach your 80's, then something strange happens. You love to tell everyone your age. Anyone who'll listen, strangers at bus stops, people in queues..... "I'm 81 on my next birthday you know..."No, not me, I'll be 102.  |

24, but I wish I got into vaping sooner. Still, better to be vaping now than when I'm older and have to because I have to. It feels a little strange for me to be vaping because it's so expected of you to be a smoker here, I feel like I'm fitting in and not at the same time. I don't know anyone who doesn't smoke or has at least never smoked. No one my age is interested in ecigs here, I guess because they don't feel they have to quit yet and I don't hang out with older folk so I guess they'll hear about them from someone else It'll be interesting for sure to see where vaping is at if I make it to 80 and finally get to live my lifelong dream of owning a purple mobility scooter so I can drive it down the main road the wrong way and plead senility when I get into trouble for it. |

It'll be interesting for sure to see where vaping is at if I make it to 80 and finally get to live my lifelong dream of owning a purple mobility scooter so I can drive it down the main road the wrong way and plead senility when I get into trouble for it. I reckon I'm older than I look but younger than I feel - some of the time, anyway!!  There does seem to be a preponderance of us accumulating in the 'wrong side of half a century' group - at least we've put the lie to the notion that we're all too set in our ways to try out some new-fangled gizmo. I'd say the vast majority of the 'early adopters' I know about have been of middle years or better. This could possibly be simply the result of increasing desperation to do something about our smoking before it DID see us off ahead of our time, I know I was beginning to get really quite scared about it and e-cigs appeared just in time as far as I was concerned!!  |
