I'm looking for a mechanical mod. I like the look of copper or brass but I gather that copper is quite high maintenance, so I'll go with brass. It needs to be 22mm and 18650.
I'd prefer not to wait weeks for delivery from China so preferably available in this country.
Looking for recommendations really but will be interested if anyone has one they want to sell.
Pricewise I guess I'm looking at a clone but would spring for the genuine article if it wasn't too pricey.

I got one of these www.m-vapes.co.uk/store/p176/M-vapes_Crater_Mod_3_tubes_22mm_to_18mm_taper.htmlWould the tapered top cap be a No No? Had it a few months and it works great with very little voltage drop. I got the copper one but had M-Vapes plate it. The reason I chose it was for the recessed bottom fire button. No need for a locking ring as it doesn't fire when put down. I see your not far away. Even though it's enemy territory :Dif you want to try the mod PM me to arrange something.

I have a copper mechanical mod in the classifieds HaroldTheBarrel. They do take a bit of looking after but they also hit harder due to less voltage drop..

Thanks for a very kind offer. Unfortunately the tapered aspect of it does put me off

I've withdrawn it from the classifieds as I'm thinking of doing a forced patina on it but it's yours if you want it?

I had a copper nemesis, no maintainance at all apart from an occasional polish if I changed my mind about the petina. Only thing to bare in mind with both brass and copper mods is that they are both fairly soft metals, compared to stainless steel and the threads can lock if done up too tight

Copper penny mod from FasterthantheyusedtobeTech is good : Cheap as a cheap thing on cheap day. Take some time to get to know it, the bloody bottom can fall off at odd intervals until you learn how to keep it in while locking/unlocking the mod.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm totally confused with the huge amount of gear on the market. Is there a lot of difference in the way one mod performs against another or could I pick any popular mod?

The GP Paps clone is a beauty. If you were looking for a telescopic, the M16 clone in brass was my first mech and it's terrific for the price.
