Received my pretty pink Istick today. The W doesn't seem to lock and keeps going back to its original setting. Doesn't seem to change on the V setting.

Only one thing comes to mind. Does the Watts change when you go to the Volts setting? Or does it change when left in the Watts mode? Only one mode can be used, either just Volts, or just Watts

My watts changed as I was screwing the nautilus on as did them ohms but once on and settled at 1.6 ohms it automatically selected 9watts and doesn't change unless I change it myself. Confusing

Yes shez that's definitely not right. So long as you can still use it in volts mode I guess it's not a biggy but it's still faulty. Where did you get it ?

I have a easy fix for this problem
Take the istick into your kitchen and press the peddle on your waste disposal device until the lid opens
Place istick inside of said waste disposal device
Job well done

My isticks both change to 9 watts if there is a short I usually sort it by checking everything is screwed on correctly. It's very easy to cross thread the isticks.

Could be a short from a dodgy coil

The issue is likely caused by changing resistance of the atty. I've had loads of issues with this when using the ego adaptor with the istick. If you set it to 5 watts with a 2 ohm coil and then the resistance changes let's say to 1.4 ohms then the Istick can't lower its voltage output enough to achieve the desired 5 watts so it ups it's wattage setting automatically in relation to the minimum voltage output it is capable of.
So if you wattage setting changes automatically check to see if the resistance has also changed.
Since I binned the eGo adaptor and used a 510 atty the issue hasn't reoccured.

And don't forget you can't always get the full 20 watts, it all depends on coil ohmage
