Once you have it made and glued in place, you could put some araldite down the open end which will make it even stronger

Ok, I have an idea... Going to try it first with a bit of tape see if it will touch the button if it does and all the buttons work then I'll use some actuator to bond the bit i think will work to the other bit... This will be tomorrow now as leaving the office soon...thanks for the ideas so far.... Back soon...

Would it be best to use araldite for the metal to metal plates or super glue? would super glue work or not? not strong enough?

Ok, got it.. A thin bit of plate I knew I had worked great. It's a little too wide it fits in but I need to take a little off the side of it. But I stuck it on with a bit of double sided tape, popped in the up and down buttons, placed the DNA 40 chip in nice and snug, and held my thumb on top of the board, all the buttons as in fire up down all clicked like they should..
So i will stick the bit of plate on perminity, then go to the next stage, the wiring part... Once wired, place the board back in then see how much messing around I need to do with the black back plate to get that to slot in....got my files ready to use..
It's coming along now....

Cheers robby
So I have the DNA 40 sat in there now snugly, all buttons clicking as they should, just need to solder 3 wires up, one to the board, one to the body and one to the atty plate then it's done... Then mess around getting the black back plate back on ...Then see it it will work..
Had to leave the office so i will do all this tomorrow.... Wish me luck.......

If it hadn't been for having a family I'd have done it all finished by now, but i was dragged out my office by my 7 year old daughter as she wanted to eat...lol...Food I said, I've got better things to do than sort out food....(just kidding)....
If, if my 2 year old son sleeps before 10pm I might walk across the rd to my office to finish the soldering, if he doesn't then I can't as the wife spends all day with him daytime so I take over in the evening to give her a rest....as he sleeps early afternoon he's full of energy when I get home and he doesn't burn it off, so maybe i will have to wait till tomorrow...

robbyAll done...went to the office, grabbed all my stuff, brought it home and finished the job off... The back plate did need skimming with a stanley knife all around. Reason being, I had to higher where the board sat on the rails of the body of the mod, lifting it higher. The wiring was really tight, no play at all. I had to take off the back plate a few times to skim a bit more off and keep checking it wasn't pushing down too much on the board making the buttons not work. Also the fire button on the DNA 40 is kinda flush, but the Chinese copy board had a raised bit of rubber on the button, so I knifed that off, then with a drop of super glue glued that bit of rubber onto the DNA fire button which worked great... Also by the time I had secured the back plate to where I was happy, I had forgotten to take a picture, and there was no way I was taking it off again as I had broke off a little piece of it already. Anyway, she fired up first time, works great, BUT i don't have any Ni200 wire so can't test that part out till the end of the week when I get some.... Pictures i hear you say, ok here they are The ZNA 18650 FULL body mod with an Evolv DNA 40 board in it:Nearly half pas midnight here, so time to sleep... Cheers all.....

Really not sure where to put mine yet, got a wood mod coming, but currently stripping a knackered DNA30 down to bare metal, and I`ll see where I go from there
