Hello, I am getting a bit annoyed with my SVD, what with the (non-)fire button and all. So I'm looking to get a new mod.
Ideally I would like it to be no more than £30, which I know will severely limit my options. I am open to any types of mods. I do like the aesthetics of mechs, but they do seem a bit confusing.
I have not really been keeping up to date with all the newer releases, but I am hearing good things about the istick.
I will be using it with a kayfun clone and a nautilus, both about 1.5 ohm if that helps any.
Thanks for your help
Thanks for your help

dannyw14 those isticks seem to be a favourite for people and if you vape below 20w then thats u sorted for a new mod. There is the istick mini 10w coming as well.

Sounds good to me, normally use 10/11 watts so I can't imagine needing more than 20. Any idea on the best price in the UK?

Just thought it would be worth a mention, most find slightly higher ohms better on an istick because it is a bit overpowed. 1.8 ohms and above work fine.

Dont forget you are going to have to charge the unit, no removable battery. Save up another £2 and get two from Fasttech Different branding, but still an istick. www.fasttech.com/products/1986505

An iStick would be my first choice, you might have to re-coil a little higher . . . followed by a Vamo, both have been and are extremely good, reasonable devices for me dannyw14. China will be cheaper, but there are still some good prices about in the UK if you're in more of a hurry. myepack.co.uk/mods/eleaf-istick-20w-mod.html

Be brave and delve into the world of mechs. Get a magneto from ebay or Cameron and be different or you could just get an istick? - one question - why do you only have one mod?

I did have a vamo as well but I lost it. I do like the idea of mechs, it just confuses me a bit in terms of how to get the right batteries, and getting a the right resistance in the coil. and surely you would have to change the battery as soon as it drops a bit of voltage as you would get a reduced performance.

You could get a nemesis clone and a kick which will regulate the wattage delivery and keep it constant until the battery needs changing. A kick also adds a degree of safety aswell. For me it's regulated all the way though and if your not fully sure about ohms law etc most people would advise not to rush into mech mods. You could put a wanted thread up in the classifieds if you come to a decision on what you want. It will save you a few pennies enabling you to get a little more for your money and as your probably aware nobody on here would sell you anything with any issues unless they clearly stated it. Jay

So if I go for regulated, it's pretty nailed on that I'll get an I stick. But if I was going to go down the mech(clone) route, what would be a good one to go for? Or are there any I should avoid?

You`ll always find a mech mod to start you off in the classies at a reasonable price to get you into the way of it. I have a Nemesis, they are pretty much a proven bit of kit and good for a beginner

Are the nemesis clones on fasttech alright? I might just get on of them and an Istick clone, could do with a blow torch as well. Would I be alright getting some 18650s from fasttech?

They are fine there danny, I got my copper Nemesis there and a blowtorch ... or three , better off getting the batteries in the UK though, it is at least 6 weeks for batteries from Fasttech due to shipping restrictions.
