These 'smart' charging devices ain't smart enough. They identify a device by communicating over the USB, so it's all fine and dandy for iPhones and Android devices and such. The problem is there is nothing to communicate on USB charged ecigs and ego chargers, so it'll just max the port you're connected to. That's a potential 8Amp output Pepperty - I wouldn't recommend these for e-cig use. Mines for iPad / iPhone but hopefully for VS wireless charger too, any issues with that Ripshod ?

If a device can communicate with the 'intelligent' multiport adapter then yeah, all fine and dandy. But usb charging leads are generally just 2 wires, so no communication. Newer 'updatable' MODs do have these communication wires in the lead, but then you're relying on the adapter's ROM containing the info for your device. Frankly, with the newness of all this tech we're getting now I can't see it Greg

It'll work. It'll look like it's working just fine. A meter may only show a draw od 1.5Amps. But, if something goes wrong (say, a short)in the pad there's the potential for the maximum current to be delivered. In the case of Pep's 'intelligent' multiport that's 8Amps. That current flowing through wires and PCB tracks designed for a max1.5Amps is going to do some damage.
You won't know there's a problem, til it happens.

I recently bought an Anker 5 port high speed 'intelligent' desktop charger ..because i need all the help I can get XMSDEALB code got me £4 off It works out what power each device needs, saves me panicking and now I can charge my phone/kindle/tablet/e-cig and have charger base connected safely I have something similar, the 6 port Olixar much more expensive but I got £15 off bringing it down to £24.99

When I had my vapor shark wireless charger it didn't like 1amp, it just beeped all the time. Didn't have a 1.5amp wall socket so I used a 2amp, that was fine and so was a USB2 on my PC......I know I go sit on the naughty step now......
I would be tempted by toms ebay link if/when I get another, the vapor shark one was too small, bit of a balancing act when the atty was attached and greatly overpriced for the tech, like the rest of their gear.......
I'll go hide now..!

These being bigger are prob better.. and 3no = same price.
