I bought a classifieds vaporshark dna30 with card and wireless receiver but it drove me mental 'peeping and pinging' every couple of minutes regardless of how I positioned it, I fiddled and faffed for about 10 days and in the end I carefully pulled out the card connector, removed and happily went back to plain old plug in! I tried all sorts of chargers, usb pc ports (have 2 and 3) and multiple powered usb plugs but no go...
I can see that the dna 40 circumnavigates this issue by having card build in, so least you can plug in via usb and/or charge via the mat. I'll probably keep the base and get around to buying a vaporshark dna40 one day -- and fish the charger mat back out? but for now it was an expensive mistake!

3!!? lol The only thing I will say is they are a bit big, you have the put the shark in just the right place but its easy to do and easy to see when you've done it Do you find that they get quite hot when charging though The vaporshark use to get quite hot with the official one.

mine gets silly hot, quite worrying really It will get hot as it's an inductive charger using electromagnet fields to transfer energy, just use normal charging precautions and you'll be fine

That's nice to no I was more worried about frying the chip or damaging the screen with the heat more than causing a fire because I never leave batteries charging unnatended anyways

Excuse my ignorance peeps, are we saying that by buying one of these ebay charging mats/pads I would be able to inductively charge my VS40 without buying anything else as it has a card built in. can someone please explain from A-Z please, thank you.

mine gets silly hot, quite worrying really That's why I asked, I actually got one of the eBay ones along with the receiver card for my Sammy Note II, and they both got worryingly hot, but if that's normal, then it's okay.

I would say warm rather than hot.
I suppose having a skin on won't help disperse the heat.
