Best results I've had in a kayfun came from 29guage wire, 7 wraps around a 3mm former for .14ohms and an open coil not a micro coil.
Be careful that you don't deform that coil when you put your cotton through and build it off of the mod. After you give it a test fire then check the screws on the terminals and make sure they're still secure before you add and fill the tank.

I'll give that a go over the weekend. Think im going to have a coil free evening tomorrow, feel like ive been at it all week lol.

I now has two DNA40s, go me. Vaporshark (which is awesome except for one thing - the paint is rubbish, it's peeling off where the atty screws in) and my home made DNA40 in a ridiculously oversized box. With bezel. /selfcongratulatorymode off

if you have a nautilus, vaporshark have made nichrome 'temperature sensing coils', rated at 0.3ohms

unfortunately only seem to be at ukecigstore and £20 for 5

See what one I get sent, but as long as it's a new batch without fuzzy screen be it small or large I'll be happy...!

I'm finding the nickel wire performs better when you open the coil up a bit. Don't squeeze it like with kanthal, instead wind it deliberately leaving a gap between the winds. Currently using a vaporshark at 17 to 20 watts, coil is 9 winds of 0.3 mm nickel on a 3 mm former (drill bit), rayon wick. Takes a bit of teasing with a flat screwdriver to separate the coils when screwed onto the atty, using a Squape or Kayfun. Remember to put the coil on the dna40 with temp off first, to burn it off a bit (or pop it on another mod and carefully heat it up).
