I'm still enjoying roast beef sandwiches --- have about 4 inches left? so supper is sorted! I've enjoyed them a damn sight more that turkey butties. Funny enough my mum happened to say about a week before Xmas that she'd ordered my turkey crown... and I burst into tears and freaked her out  she phoned me later on whispering gently that she'd managed to rejig my order to a beef joint ... she's probably telling teh family that I'm teetering on edge of a breakdown!! OK I know its only a joint but I was so determined not to have bloody turkey for Xmas as I've hated it for 40 odd years..... |

Interesting to see that the vegetarian choice is joint 2nd  When I fully converted to a vegetarian diet over 30 years ago, it was almost as rare as converting to vaping over 6 years ago  Me too. I've been veggie for twenty years now and the choice back then the veggie option was cheese or cheese with tomato. Now with while ranges of 'substitutes' there's so much choice. You can literally get all sorts. Whilst I'm not really a fan of the fake meat products I do like a quorn curry. For Christmas dinner I just have what everyone else has minus the meat. And since I never make a roast dinner just for myself I do really enjoy it. |

Just caught up with this. It was a late xmas lunch for me (4pm ish ) as I had to walk a fair way to the venue, and stopped on the way for a drinky poos to rehydrate and have a rest. No meat for me either - cheese - but this was my xmas dinner  |
