leg of lamb - with green beans - sprouts - and roast potatoes - but tomorrow as today we are invited and I don't know what we are getting - just that it's going to be good as our friend is a great cook

I put my foot down a couple of years back, none of us really enjoy turkey. I'd have gone for chicken but we have that most Sundays so want something different for the xmas dinner
Turkey was OK on the day and I didn't mind turkey sandwiches for supper...but after that I hated trying to use it up. So now we have beef, and a smaller joint that'll do the roast, then the sandwiches and its basically used up then.. plus everyone likes yorkies with a roast!
I also do a ham, get a big fresh one, cut into 3 and have one at xmas, new year etc. I make a meal of it and then leftovers for few days, blah blah etc.

I made the decision a few days ago to get chooks in for the Xmas period, got one defrosted and ready to cook in the fridge. The substitute chicken is due to come on at 89 minutes, or about the 27th in real time. Chickening my face off
