Decided to go for black buttons and black 510. The 510 has a sort of black japanned finish so not black black, if you know what I mean.
It's a big screen version and I would have like to have seen a bit more of the screen, it's a bit cramped. It's solidly designed and heavier then I expected and comes in at 150g with batteries, the StealthVape is 168g and Eclipse 129g

What did you think about its construction as i found the space for the battery sled needed a couple more mil.

As for yesterday's problem i never cease to amaze myself on how i can be such a dumb arse.
Ive wired up countless tactile switches so what do i go and do, wire up the wrong legs so both switches are constantly open
Thankfully i didnt damage the board, just confused the hell out of it

it wasn't quite a simple as I expected @windows

First off the hole for the fire button needed easing as the button wouldn't fit. The the fire button itself needed the same treatment as it wouldn't fit in the rebate on the inside of the case.

When I sorted that and got a nice sliding fit I had to do the same with the up/down's, not that much of a problem but time consuming.

Holding the board in place all three buttons worked but when screwed in securely there was no play in fire buttons, just solid. so out with the board and took a little off the nibs and put it back. Did this 6 times to get it right.

The battery sled was tight, had a slight problem with the 510 connection wire fouling it but got round that fairly easily. I thought that was because I used a FD connector and not the Varitube even though AFAIK they are the same length.

It's quite a compact mod so you expect it to be tight and imo it's not one for first attempt unless you're confident in your skills

I sort of expected to sand a few bits to fit, like the battery door but it was fiddly and took me longer than expected.

Glad you sorted out your problem, that is of course the first thing mentioned when you read up or watch video's on connecting tactile switched, and the last thing you think of when a problem occurs

Black buttons look good @scooby, but I do like the silver ones personally

Yep mine is metallic plastic lairey and looks grey with a little sparkle in certain light.

Yours looks darker and more gunmetal, is it the polished metallic one?

I did think of that, but didn't want to mention it.  It's easy to lose a little of focus on the simple things, a bit like when I marked the wrong side of the box, which would have been OK if it wasn't with a centre punch.

It is indeed... it still has that almost furry feel to it and sparkles as you tilt it in the light.  It's so nice to use, has great feel appeal

Looks very good. They are very nicely proportioned, liked it as soon as I saw saw it. like your description, can't be a furry feel imo

So want legs do you wire out of the 4? Not really looked at it yet....
