They are claiming temp control with any type of coil wire. I`m not saying I believe them (or dont). Just for info

No way, each alloy has a different temperature coefficient of resistance and Nickel is much lower than other alloys used for coils so more accurate. Nickel is 30 times more temp sensitive than Nichrome, the DNA40 is +/- 10 F so with nichrome you would expect accuracies of +/- 300 F

Don`t know @windows It will be interesting to see how it plays out, but Evolve dont have a patent on innovation. They now have full page listings for them.

Clever people those Chinese, don't be too quick to dismiss just because you can't fathom it out. Might be totally different method to Evolve. Time will tell if it's genuine or BS I guess

I agree robby new innervation is always welcome. I just find it a bit strange that knowing that kanthal is the most commonly used material evolve would not have looked in to whether it was possible to use it for temp sensing. I mean if they had brought that to the vaping world they would have guaranteed more sales as peeps could use the same set up for everything.

It's basic physics nickel is higher precision for sensing temp from resistance (which is how a "DNA40 clone" will have to work through a 510 connection). I think the platinum next best is 2/3 as accurate as nickel. Stainless steel is rated by hardness and corrosion resistance so you wouldn't be able to predict the coefficient. Nichrome is 1/30 as accurate and kanthal is probably less so (more stable at temperature).
Some reviewers may have made you think that multiple coil material temp control is desirable or viable, but that is a fundamental misunderstanding of the technology as it stands today. your e-cig would have to have a lot more settings that would be prone to user error and nickel would still be better.
With sensors in your top cap maybe, but via the 510 only nickel and platinum are practical.

Evolve don't have a patent on innovation and Limwell don't have a patent on the impossible however, they probably have a patent on telling fairy stories. VapingBad is spot on with his explanation.

Don't assume everyone else will copy evolve method. Onwards and upwards. imagine evolves faces if they get trumped

Ive just read that its to do with the resistance changing in nickel as it heats, but this dont happen in kanthal. Is that right VapingBad

We shall see, I`m just passing on what I have picked up, it certainly is not impossible, we dont know how they are doing it so I`ll reserve judgement as I said in my first post
