Doh, not platinum its too conductive and expensive, I meant titanium may be a goer but can't find the coefficient for it table (found a better one).

Silver is very close to the accuracy of nickel, so are iron and mild steel, but don't fancy coiling with them.

Almost, Kanthal changes but far less it is a trade name rathar than ageneric alloy so don't know how much and would think that it is more stable than nichrome so even less then one thirtieth as accurate as nickel.

That's the way forward,monitor the temp of the juice not the coil, that's what we are inhaling,  the 510 needs to go, coil and wick too IMHO. Guess they was limited with the 510 connection.

The usual minimum order coming into play. How many times have our Chinese friends pulled that stunt. So robby, you would need nine others to take the chance that our Shenzen friends ain't being economical with the truth ? On the basis of the information and guide that VapingBad has provided, it would seem they've made the impossible a reality. If the price was right I'd probably give it a try. But I get the feeling, even from China, it might not be that cheap.

I dont regard it as an "impossible" striker42, they are touting it as better than Evolv for the very reason that they claim it will work with any coil. It can only be "current sensing" that they are using, there isn`t anything else to work with really unless they have some other sort of inline electronic measurement. I told them I couldn`t possibly go with something so radical with a quantity of 10. It would HAVE to be tested first with a quantity of two. I haven`t heard back from them yet, but it wouldn`t surprise me if at all if they came back with a quote for two. It`s happened before

If it's what they say it is, you'd think they'd be happy just to get it out on the street whether its 1,10 or 100. You must be well enough known in Chinese shopping circles now robby, for them to know if it's worth getting you're gonna recommend it to a wider audience.

No way, each alloy has a different temperature coefficient of resistance and Nickel is much lower than other alloys used for coils so more accurate. Nickel is 30 times more temp sensitive than Nichrome, the DNA40 is +/- 10 F so with nichrome you would expect accuracies of +/- 300 F
