I just give the bottle a good vigorous shaking, remove the cap but leave the dripper in and then leave in the cupboard checking every few days with a couple of drops on a 306 dripper to see how the flavours are developing. 306 drippers can be checked here 306 Dripper

5 or 6 rounds in the ultrasonic bath is enough for me, replacing the air in between. But then none of my juices require much steeping.

personally, i let them steep as aliscampbell said for a period of time depending on the e-liquid... fruits for 5-7 days, sweets for 2 weeks, custard ones for 3-4 weeks and smokey ones for 6-8 weeks time... i remove their lid, placing a cotton mesh thing, to avoid having flies in there, and place them in a high place... every 8-10 hours i place the lid and gently swirling it/shaking it for 3-4 minutes in order to accelerate its homogenization... from time to time i drip it to check out its progress, just like sydsut does...

Think everybody develops their own steeping technique depending on flavour of juice and manufacturer. Tobacco's for me from flavour art about 3-4 weeks. Anything with custard from chefs vapour, 4-6 weeks. Just vaped vanilla custard over the holidays that had been steeping for six months. Fruits, depends what they are but a few are good to go straight after mixing, as is Red Astaire and Afro Dizziac from T Juice. Once mixed, in the cupboard, shake once a week remove and replace lid and that's it.

I don't take the lid off either - just wait - till I think they might be ready

I'm a lids-on chap (unlike Greg, who obviously has someone called Lisa to help him!) and use similar timings to those above. Red Astaire and anything fruity are almost ready to go immediately, whilst custards and complex dessert juices get left for at least a month.

Maybe a stupid question, but how do you go about steeping them in the Ultrasonic cleaner? Is it just the case of putting the bottle containing the e liquid in the basket and filling the cleaner with a small amount of water?

Is it just the case of putting the bottle containing the e liquid in the basket and filling the cleaner with a small amount of water? That's the idea. Another great idea given to me was to put the bottles in a bag and tape to the side of a washing machine for a few spin cycles. Anything that agitates the juice accelerates the process.
