I've just "tidied" my Vape gear ( well I emptied out the old shoe box where I store my old/several times washed and dry burned heads) and have quite a few iClear 30s heads that I would like to get a bit more use from. I am hoping someone has tried...... soaking in Vodka (expensive); Boiling in Water + some Magic ingredient ( Denture Tablets???); or indeed ANY suggestions to revive and spin out the life of these heads.
Recoilling doesn't SEEM possible, but I am sure some resourceful Bugger on here has tried!

Not grumbling Ron, just wondering the best way to revive Old Heads (I don't like to chuck stuff away if there's ANY chance of reusing it!)

andy01424 Can I use that method for cleaning my iclear 16 used coils? iClear16 should be a little easier. Soak and dry-burn. I saw someone dry-burn a 30 S once by removing the silicone 'washer' on the top of the cartridge. Didn't convince me.

djs as it so happens I went on youtube, found a man who dry burns his iclear16s and he has never had to buy a new one in 4 months! So me being a little clever clogs has to have a go myself with my some of the 12 useless ones that I kept, and guess what??? It works, I have done 4 then filled the clearomisers and they vape perfectly, I'm going to do the rest of them tomorrow. Anything that saves me money, I will give it a go.

andy01424 Can I use that method for cleaning my iclear 16 used coils? no reason why not, only time there past using is when the wicks start to fall apart, sonic clean will just remove any gunk from the coils and wick, as i use a lot of custard they gunk pdq, plus the 30s coils look to much hassel to redo,in past yr had vtr i have bought 10 replacements

I have done a few when the iclear30 was my main atty, boil them for 5 minutes, wrap them in kitchen roll for half an hour (to dry off most of the water) and then dry burn them. Dont overdo the dry burning, get to the stage where the water has almost dried up, then get the coil red hot (you can see it if you take the silicone bung off the top) for a couple of seconds, let it cool a bit and repeat that about 5 or six times to burn the crap off the coils and within the silica wick inside the coils. Worked well for me Same for iclear16s.

I attempted to dry burn one of my iclear 16's few weeks ago and did it too long, shorted out, was useless after that haven't tried with another one yet, but have got a couple soaked and ready for dry burning again. My iclear 30s's I just used to soak overnight in water, let dry for 24 hours and then re-used them again for another couple of weeks, they worked fine without any dry burning

I'll do a bit of a review/test over the next week or so and post it up. I finally succumbed and put in a Fasttech order for a few bits, I Singapore Post optioned them, so I'm hoping to have them before the end of Feb (2015!)
