Horrendous here...our second night of wind, the likes of I've never experienced !
We've actually roped our conservatory...really hellish!
Leccy on & off - mostly off.
A lot of our wee roads are still blocked with fallen trees, & gawd knows where me garden chairs are ???

Stay safe tonight peeps, not just up in Scotland where it'll be horrid wild, but up here in t'north of England too. The wind is already worse than last night, but we still have power but candles and torches are ready. It's blummin noisy too. I hate stormy wind. And they forecast snow for tomorrow, oh deep joy, gusting 50mph wind and snow. Lush! NOT!

Terrible weather down south too. Whilst walking the dog a cloud came over so no sunshine for half an hour.

I'm signing off for the night...the power is too intermittent, & I don't want to damage me lappy. Stay safe lovely peeps

Well the traffic sign at the beginning of our roadworks did not obey its own instructions this morning.
As I was out walking the dogs, the sign that says "Stop Here when traffic lights are Red", took off and went sailing across the village green to smack into a parked car.
A neighbour brought it over to the green and I placed a heavy sandbag on top of it. So no more travels for it!
Now we wait to see what next will take to the skies and, more importantly, where it will land.

All quiet on the western front (west of Scotland) today. Just a stiff breeze (oh and heavy rain).
But things are looking decidedly iffy for tonight and tomorrow.
I think I will need to put lead booties on the dogs to keep their paws on the ground.

Well, about 3 inches of snow and an icy cold wind outside my door just now. Had to go to Inverness on Friday night for work. Its not a great road at the best of times, but it's worse with an empty artic lorry. I could have held a curling stone between the cheeks of my arse on the road back down. Thankfully I don't start till tomorrow night again, so feet up and watch it through the window tonight.

Down at my girlfriends last couple of days and seen snow, hail, rain and the occasional wheelie bins flying past. Home now and no apparent damage but my mum did text to say her satellite dish is now lying in the middle of the garden. Still pretty windy and the forecast is looking likely for more snow before the week is out. Hope everyone else is faring well.

We had a fair bit of snow last night. My young dogs new hobby is to prance about the garden on his back legs barking at it. It was funny at first but he's relentless, even had a nieghbour call round to enqire if the dog was all right, probably before he fills in an ASBO report It was snowing heavily during the night too. I know this as the pup woke me barking at 2.30, poor thing could see some snow through the window Moved his crate into the hallway and covered it with a blanket. I swear the dog is derranged, I don't think he's frightened of the snow he just likes barking a lot and walking on his hind legs, I think I might sell him to the circus! Thankfully the snow isn't lying and now seems to have turned into a normal dreary drizzle

I've been absent a couple of days...no power, & really heavy snow & gale-force winds continue. I hope I can stay on-line for a bit
