Just seen the weather forecast, and it doesn't look very pleasant for you, regarding the wind, over the next couple of days. I know you hardened folk will say I'm a southern softie, and you're used to the odd breeze... but please take care... we don't want to lose any of you blown off to Belgium or Holland.

I'm lucky to be on the East Coast, it won't be as bad here. Take care those out the West.

Yes Raffles, I'm expecting it to be a bit breezy where I live. Its a popular spot for the news crews to do their piece to camera down at the prom next to the railway line. This is a typical photo from the local rag (last years stormy weather) but the BBC and STV show the same thing from the same place usually. I've seen it worse though

ceedee didn't know whether to 'like' that or not, but it is a beautiful picture of nature in action. Just glad I'm not underneath the worst of it. ???

The wind is already howling round here. Had to get out the car and remove the neighbours wheelie bins from the middle of the driveway when I got home from work tonight, never a good sign lol

Bring on the stormy weather I say! At least it's not boring and hopefully get some snow to drive through!
I hate drizzle, that's like even the weather can't be bothered lol Love a bit of snow though and freezing temps, it's nice and clean looking and if it's cold enough it's really dry too.

There are roadworks right through our village at the moment and the main road is down to single file traffic with traffic lights. The roadway is cordoned off with plastic barriers. Just one slight eatsy weatsy problem. The wind dies not like where the barriers are and has "rearranged them"! Now every motorist that comes through the village has to stop and put the barriers back where they should be, get into his car and drive double quick before the wind gets another grab at them. Our house overlooks the road and I haven't had this much entertainment in months!

Well the wind through the night damaged the catch on our side gate and blew the gate open.
So when Mrs Lobey let the dogs out for their morning widdles, Houdini (Coll) was out the gate like a shot and in amongst the roadworks. Indeed he was nearly squished by a tar lorry.
Fortunately the men in the yellow oilskins rounded him up and brought him back to us.
It is not just cats that have 9 lives, fortunately!!!!
