Power off since the wee hours of the night, nay heating or lighting. but at least the stoves working (runs off gas bottle) memories of distant year's when there was no TV , X Boxes and the like, I notice as usual the media are barely reporting much. but if it was London Me thinks (Armageddon. and a state of emergency would have been declared lol)
But all the batteries are fully charged so I have days of toking supplies....
Don't know how long i'll be on T'internet as it's being hooked up to my IPhone which amazingly is still getting 3G
So all is good folks!

Pleased to hear you're surviving car147 you are so right about London, 1cm of snow and it grinds to a hault. It's not bad down in the Borders, still got power just no TV or mobile signal, but I can live without that

Strange how the 3G is still working, tethering off my Iphone. but it uses quite a bit of power, all ok at the moment, but if its a lengthy outage it wont be fun, as most properties are storage heating.
Thanks all

Thanks all All the mobile phone mast have battery back-ups that keep them running during power outages, quite a good thing when they work.
