Evolve DNA 40 clone temp control - first look :)

Ok found my first issue
Not sure if this is just mine having a faulty chip but 5 click lock
Leave it for say an hour, then when pressing the fire button it is no longer locked and it books ups the chip and fires
Anyone else?

I think you could pulse it at a dull red, but dont get it hotter or it`s goodbye coil, hello coiler archiecat

I haven`t noticed that but rarely lock it

I haven`t noticed that but rarely lock it

Try it out, lock it and leave it for an hour and then see if it does the same as mine....and report back..lol...

I'm using it, as we type, in temp mode and it works very well, but not sure that I would notice any difference were I using it with kanthal and no temp control.

PS, how do you clean a nickle coil? with Kanthal I remove the wick and burn it clean and put a new cotten wick in.

Only thing i've found strange is that when I leave it for a couple of hours I have to hit the fire button 10 times to wake it up, other than that it's been perfect.

You can pulse them archiecat, as robby says dull red (I go to dark orange) start with the watts low and work your way up, setting the temp to 600 F is an alternative you can just see them start to glow with the light out.

Read through ALL 62 pages worth of posts on this thread and I felt obligated to make an account and post. Hey everyone! I'm waiting for the CNY to end so that I could order a flask of my own from 3fvape. It looks to me that even the minor problems of authentic DNA 40s have been accurately cloned on this device

How's the normal 'kanthal mode' though? Does it hit as hard as a yihi or evolv chip?

EDIT: oh and robby, you've been a big help man! I was someone who'd look down upon clones but you've convinced me that cheaper doesn't necessarily mean inferior; thanks!

It`s fine on kanthol nwasiq , just a normal 40 watt mod in normal mode, can`t say I have noticed any difference from any other device
