This thing is rocking!!! I love it The chip is doing great if not better than the Evolv dna 40 temp chip My subtank re-build deck with nickel , 2 airholes slight lung inhale is a great vape
I do hope the chip doesn't fail at any time as as it stands right not this is excellent as a clone chip in temp mode
Thanks to robby for getting this Thread started and to the others who have posted about it

I have used mine daily since the first orders went in, we all know what some Chinese built stuff can be like but I can honestly say these work, and I am struggling to find any issue compared to my genuine VS Rdna40.
Yes Temp limiting is very unforgiving of a poor build, you will suffer problems if all the connections aren't A1, and for me this again had been more noticeable on the original. These KX 40D's just do what it says on the tin!

Nice pics vapermorphs, and agree with you 100% The Chinese have upped (is that a word) their game and have started to produce some really good stuff, I've a couple of Hcigar Kayfun 4 clones here and they are, dare I say, as good as the genuine item, and yes I've owned several genuine Kayfuns. Is temp sensing worth the fuss,,,,,,,,still thinking about that

Thats the thing, my normal vape is around 10/12W, I've tried all the other stuff, but when it comes down to it my everyday normal vape is nowhere near any limits.

Still a nice mod for the money though if you're thinking of buying one. Only used a kayfun 4 once but on the lite some of my lazy wicking attempts temp control was running under 12watts at times, more so near the end of the tank.

Thats the thing, my normal vape is around 10/12W, I've tried all the other stuff, but when it comes down to it my everyday normal vape is nowhere near any limits. It is up to you, you are still boiling liquid and if you use the temp limit to find out your preferred vaping temp for your liquid you can use it to give you a more consistent vape and it has helped me to better optimise coil and wick sizes. ATM I am vaping at 400 F 32 W and the temp limit cuts in gently (not showing the protection message) on slower draws, but still get the flavour and more vapour when taking faster draws. If you just leave it in the mid 400 F range you get a more aggressive preheat and dry hit protection, but with cotton IIRC you want about 410 F to be sure not to burn the wick. In general I find the size/contact area of the coil has the largest impact with getting the best from temperature limiting, too small and the temp limit will cut in too much, too big it never gets up to temp. Also don't forget airflow is important for temperature, it's to easy to just focus on wicking and these days wicking is rarely the problem.

Think you misunderstand me letsavit, I bought one a few weeks ago and think it's a very nice mod. Thanks robby for emptying my wallet again I'm using it, as we type, in temp mode and it works very well, but not sure that I would notice any difference were I using it with kanthal and no temp control. PS, how do you clean a nickle coil? with Kanthal I remove the wick and burn it clean and put a new cotten wick in.
