Don't know who reviewed this but the info is wrong, Kangxin produced the KX 40 D long before this other firm, I also hear that the wallaby or whatever it calls itself does not operate anywhere near as good as the Kangxin clone. Clone wars lol I'm pretty sure both Kangxin and Waidea got the same board from somebody else, it's just that Kangxin was first to market with it. Too many similarities between the two, and I find it hard to believe that two independant shops would produce essentially the same product in the same time-frame, right down to the same Chinglish text in the user interface. And I can tell you that the Kangxin flask, whilst having a good board, is rubbish inside elsewhere. My buttons fell inside the case because the only thing holding them in place was gobs of hot glue. The only thing holding the board in place was a square of foam rubber underneath and tension from the wires piled on top of it. At least the Waidea clone has the buttons and board mounted on a proper internal sled, similar to the authentic.

Ah but does the Waidea work? As I have seen quite a few reports of them being inferior, ie not firing from sleep, and issues with the temp limiting .
I was aware that the board in the Kangxin version is held in with hot glue, I think Robby stated that in the beginning of this thread just after he Recieved one of the first ones we bought.

My early kangxin flask has been solid, reads the ohms better than my other DNA40 mods and I don't want a 1 second delay thanks.

Guys, there's already a delay on the Kangxin, same as the Waidea. Test it yourself, it's less than a full second, but more than half a second. It's the same board inside. As for people complaining it doesn't work, there's just as many if not more that were complaining about the Kangxin, with the same issues.

All I know is I have a genuine Vaper shark Rdna40, and 3 of these Vapour flasks clones, surprisingly the clones have worked as well, if not better than my £149 VS, which has decided to shed its damn covering within two months! ( I will never buy a Vapour Shark again! )
Ps I will be selling one of the clones today to fund another mod.

and don't forget my Kangxins:
3fvape one 1. Goes into Deep Sleep after 1 minute 2. The pos battery contacts are NOT adjustable - although the batteries actually fit better. 3. I had a Doge-X on top which has a stiff outer section, when trying to get it off, it pulled the 510 connector up, luckily I saw it and stopped pulling, but I now have a loose 510 connector - not seated in properly. 4. This one shows "Temperature Protected" when it gets to it
Focal one: 1. Goes into Deep Sleep after x hours (haven't actually timed it but it is a quite a few) 2. the pos contacts are supposedly adjustable - the end caps stick out with same batteries in - so tried adjusting them turning the screw clockwise - does not appear to fix problem, actual mod is a touch shorter in height. 3. This one shows the wattage changing to accommodate the Temperature and never shows "Temperature Protected"

These were posted on ECF by Damped. Thought some over here might want to peer under the hood since Nicole was unable to cover this ground in her review. He was reluctant to disassemble the unit further. Is that the Waidea one? The finish does look better. How much and where from, usb charging...? Questions, questions......

LOL! It was never worth $299US IMO but I'm a poor man. Even if the chip in this is garbage it is in a cradle & can probably be swapped pretty easy. Like the build on this thing but that fixed 510 center pin & the 1 second fire delay are both kind of disappointing.
Can't go wrong on the price point. I've got one Silver & one Black in Shenzhen EMS now.

My new Waid*a VF V3 1:1 ChiNA40TC Clone. Gave pics a try with my iphone but played with incandescent lighting to try & accent grain so color in some may appear off a bit. You can clearly see the sealant Nicole spoke of in her review at the top plate seam in these but it is not as noticeable in person. Best I can do for now.
