Kanger Evod 2 Problem

Hi, I'm new to the forum and vaping. Been using a ce4 on a 650mah ego for a bit and decided to get an Evod 2 as an upgrade. Getting pretty much just air through it and hardly any vapour. And to top it all off its just leaked all It's juice through the battery connection. Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks in advance

Could be a dud head in it drunkenbum, do you have any spare to put in it?

Hi, no I don't. Just had it arrive today. Was hoping it was something to do with my cheapo battery not having enough power. Would the battery cause an issue?

It shouldn't do drunkenbum. Best bet would be just to make sure the head is screwed in tight as they do have a tendancy to come loose and make sure the tank is screwed tightly up to the base. Empty it out, give it a rinse, check it is all tight and give it another go.

How empty was it when it dumped the juice?

It might be a bit obvious, but is the coil screwed in properly .

I know the EVOD 1 has problems leaking between the chimney and coil seal, but I thought the V2 had sorted that (never used the V2).

Good point on the chimney. The post that sticks up from the head just guve that a push down to make sure it is down properly.

Sorry Roscopecotrain I think my coil answer was posted before I had seen your - the forum doesn't always update properly.

drunkenbum I had some real problems with my Evods and leaking - I probably ate more e juice than vaped. When I researched it a number of solutions came up.

The first as roscopecotrain says is to check the coil is seated properly
The second is to keep it above a third full. There was a theory that the vacuum broke when the volume of liquid dropped
The third one was a bit of a hack. But you can try and turn the silicone gromit so it is upside down, or add a second gromit. This post here sort of explains it.

Sometimes these solutions worked, sometimes not so much

I will be honest though I gave up with Evods, and I really liked them but some leaked some didn't, eventually I got fed up with the randomness of it all. I moved to the pro tank minis and never had a problem

Ok so here is a picture of the kanger head.



Push on the post sticking out the top to make sure that is down into place. Push down on the rubber bit as well to make sure that is down and then just make sure the whole thing is tightly screwed into the base.

Mine looks a bit different to that. Tried pushing down making sure it's tight etc. Refilled and got the gargling. If I blow down the mouthpiece to clear any juice in the tube it blows loads of juice out the bottom

Ah you have the new style i am guessing. When you nlow the juice out turn the whole tank upside down and then blow up rather than down if that makes sense as if you nlow down it will just pull more juice through where as upside down the juice is away from the coil.

I would order some more heads if i were you as it could just be a dud head. Personally i prefer the older style in the picture over the new style heads.

If you still get problems with new heads give me a shout as i have an evod 2 in my draw that is not doing anything you could have.

Would you recommend the 1.8 or the 1.5 ohm? Ukecigcabin have just despatched my evod battery today. Probably should have put some on the order

What battery did you get? Is it variable voltage?
