Really pleased I made move to better quality kit. I thought the variable voltage might have been a bit of a gimmick but it really does make a difference. I can see this being the start of an expensive hobby.

I remember my first Lavatube... it was epic! The spending can slow down if you want it to. Recently I've not bought a thing... and just splurged a whole £9 on e-liquid. I'm just so content with the hardware these days...

I gotta admit I quite like the look of the nautilus tanks. Especially the nice sleeve over some of them. I was tempted to try the x6 battery but the whole idea of cycling through the voltage settings every time put me off.

I take it it's not a good one then? don't listen to djs I have 5 X6s in the house (one each for me and Mini-Gun #1 and 3 for Mrs G-J - they are a cracking chuck them in pocket/backpack for out'n'about battery, and sit very nicely in your hand due to the shape, shorter length and wider girth over a twist/evod/spinner type ...and they're about £6-ish each on fasttech

Our GunJack gets on really well with them . . . bought one myself and it went thermal on me, fortunately I spotted it before anything unfortunate occurred. But I wouldn't recommend them myself after that. Better to spend a little more and get a Spinner if you're after a tube style VV battery drunkenbum. As if by magic GJ appears!

drunkenbum - I'm going to PM you in the hope that you haven't thrown away your duff head - send it to me and I'll put a microcoil in it, wicked with cotton wool, and send it back. It will easily out-perform the stock head you have and the coil will last for literally months before caving in, and you can re-wick it with cotton wool (I'll pop in a couple of CW balls to keep you going!).

The 30 & 50 watt versions are soon to land . . . even if all that oomphage won't be necessary for you, they do have a better 510 connection and are an upgrade. Though I've no complaints myself with the original design.
