Makes no sense trying to make it burn up @letsavit, certainly isn't safe. If it should happen to a forum member, and the vendor doesn't want it sent back, bear in mind the AAE-C CSIs would love to investigate. I know mate but if want to use this device with no concern I would rather stress test it now with the cover off as appose to when im out drinking..! as that's what I purchased it for..... really like the little thing for the money so if clouper put their hands up I'll happily bin it and buy another for £22

Right now Cloupor should suspend sales and offer every owner who has reported this £100 to Courier it to them ASAP, unless they are sure what the cause is .

Glad i cancelled mine now, i'l be ordering the Sigelei Mini when that hits the shelves instead. Very poor form on Cloupors part here not to do a recall or even to make customers aware there could be a potential problem. One company i shall be steering clear of from now on.

Edit; yes if it went it would go to the AAEC test team...... We want to know why they catch fire on their own, at least half we have heard about were while it was not being used so if you just keep firing it at max watts until it fails it could be a different part that failed, it could be the same but you would have to compare to one that self destructed to know.

If they had been doing this while firing it would be a good idea @letsavit

One point. @letsavit, just to clarify. You're vaping at 15watts and feeling heat from the battery area? Am I right?
Are you sure it's not just the heat from your hand holding it?
If it's to the top of the case then more likely conducted heat from the atty.

Had cover off and was feeling for heat on the battery and on the plastic where all the electronics sit behind. Edit, battery was getting warm only, not sure if it matters now with vapings comments but if it's burning out (heat) with no use then it must be pulling power, self firing or short?

Aluminium mods can get pretty hot from heat transfer from the atty, I sometimes get my DNA40 a lot hotter than the battery like this.

The battery should barely heat at them watts @letsavit, only pulling ~4amps. Imagine how warm that's going to get subohming high watts.

Just cancelled my FT order for a second one, dispatch date got put back again without me knowing, perhaps a blessing.
The first one still works fine.
Will look at other options now
Any other suggestions?
Sigelei?
