To be honest Q and @zuza, I think you both need to chill out a bit. Both of you are acting out of character. Please guys, can we calm down a bit, there has been too much upset here in recent months and no one wants to see anything escalating. yeah i think caring for people gets me in trouble not want to see anyone hurt with this item in future seeing just 2 more have had problems and one after test I had my rant about safety got burnt so my lesson today is just walk by

Q has not told anyone to go and buy one. He was quite abrasive in his comment to you, as you have been to him, none of us want to see anyone arguing for any reason. Please don't think I and others are not appreciative of your concern. I have a Clouper mini and I will NOT be recommending it to anyone because of these safety issues, which is a real shame as it has the potential to be a great mod. I will continue to use mine - carefully, whilst at home only and removing the battery when not in use. But I am lucky in that I frequent AAEC and so am fully up to speed with the issues. I completely understand what you are saying about Joe Public being unaware and that could be disastrous.

The truly safe way is to give up all electrical goods. There's no doubt that a few units have melted, not gone boom or exploded. But does anyone here actually know someone this has happened to? We are mostly grown ups - so I believe I can be trusted with a unit that may be dodgy. Like all my electrical stuff. You don't need to be an expert. I don't think it can be treated like other electrical goods, or even compared to them. I leave the battery in my other VW mods overnight but with this I will take it out if leaving the room as there is no warning before the go and most seem to have gone while in stand by which is the most worrying aspect. Two or more UKV members have had theirs go and at least one of those came from GearBest. It is both a fire and burn risk. Use them if you must it up to the individual what level of risk they are comfortable with, just don't leave them unattended with a battery in and keep you fingers crossed

If this thread and this one were where they SHOULD be, Members only, I wouldn't mind WHAT people said. But it is in a public area of the forum, and words like 'blowing up' and 'exploding' will do the vaping cause no good at all, we should be careful with ALL our vaping gear, and not be part of the sensationalistic area like @zuza has started, I wont apologise for what I've said, I stand by ALL of it. And this was me at a stag do three years ago the false tach had fallen off by then

Sadly not but what a trackie it was, Carbrini I think I seem to remember those trackies had melting issues too. I was young and foolish, sadly I'm only one of those things these days generally speaking though I don't recall them spontaneously combusting unaided.

@zuza is guilty of being a bit sensationalist and going on a little bit. but you have been pretty rude Q. The cloupor IS having unacceptable issues. We know about them, cloupor's response and safety check is not working. This IS a major issue. Its a shame because the device seems like it could of been great, I'm sure some are great! Sadly there is no way to know if yours will go 'bang/fizz/pop/burn' (insert whatever word you like) and it is a risk that every owner just has to either accept and be cautious or not use it.
