chykensa I use a needle threader for wicking on eBay for a couple of quid for ten. Just push it through the coil trap the cotton wool and gently pull back, couple of seconds and coil wicked. Save your money and use a bit of kanthal bent in half? Yep, that works, I just find the needle threader compresses and hence grips the wick tighter as you pull it through the coil

To be brutally honest, I think it would be much better for you to learn how to wind them by hand first. There's something really satisfying about winding them yourself and then vaping on the finished product. I'm not bothering with a coil winder for the moment, I'm quite happy with my own skills and can spend the money better elsewhere!

I have made about 8 coils (thx to dan, sent me some wire)managed to get 2 at 2.0 ohm ish most came at crazy ohms i.e 2.8/1.2ohm. waiting for kanthal delivery to try again , got some freebie cotton from virtual vape but nearly finished so looking for advice on cotton, from what I've read on here any decent cotton wool from boots etc seems good enough, what u think ?
