If its the screw at the base what you screw out to fill I already tried that and it went straight through to the drip tip

It would also explain why it leaks from the airhole when you top fill as if the chimney don't seal on the oring you can't create the vacuum required. is it possible you haven't screwed the tank section together fully ? other than that maybe your chimney is defective, ie short.

I've four genuine Kayfuns and none of them have an "o" ring on the chimney top piece. However I can't see how this would make any difference one way or the other.
This is a real puzzle, you seem to be doing everything right, wish I could help danliddle but as I say you seem to be doing everything correctly.
Hope you get it sorted.

Assuming it's a lone are you using all the original parts it came with, have you changed any bits with FT bits like a custom top cap or different tank sections.
Did it come with a metal centre tank section, maybe try that instead of the plastic section.

I've just checked all of my Kayfuns & every one has the chimney o-ring, so I doubt that's the problem........10/1 it's the way it's been wicked........... "Life...........is just a bowl of tricks!!!!!!" The wick he's showing in the photos look near perfect to me.

Don't forget to ensure metal section has orings fitted or swap them from plastic tank

Dont top fill it. Fill it the way it is meant to be filled. what way ? Through the fill port on the bottom.

True..............but if all the o-rings are in place, everything is screwed down tight enough & the chimney is fitting snug into the tank top o-ring, which he says it all is, then it all points to wicking in my opinion.........Hopefully, he'll get it sussed & we'll find out. this is the way i do kayfuns and i would recommend after you have built it this way try filling it from the bottom screw watch the vid from around 8 and a half mins and follow his way of wicking it defo works with cotton and should work with rayon
its frustrating when it looks so simple but it just dont work but hopefully that vid will get you up and running

If you are getting juice leaking when you top fill, and all the O-rings are in place, I suspect that the suggestion above ^^^ about your chimney being too short and not sealing with that ring in the top cap is a prime suspect. This is the problem with the forum (no, all fora!), if we were all grouped around your table/desk as you assemble, we would be able to analyse exactly what's wrong in a jiffy, but instead we are having to rely on posts and pictures. If the KFL is currently empty (!) just have a look through the clear section and check that the thin section on top of the chimney is reaching as far as the recessed O-ring in the top cap. If it isn't, that's your problem. If it is, hmm, to be honest I'm not sure. I am not the world's tidiest rewicker, and I have never had any major problems with either cotton wool or rayon to the extent that juice pees out of the device. I have to admit that I'm flummoxed here folks!

How about giving the seller a PM, see if they have any ideas. Don't mention names in this thread tho
