Hi all
I have just recieved my Rose v2 clone from FT. I'm no expert, but something isn't right. When the juice control is screwed down and the tank is attached, i can only undo the juice control half a turn. All the threads are clean & free etc. I raised a ticket with them because the clear tank section & the usual o ring kit was missing. they said to make a video & upload it via a third party as their ticket system won't support attaching a video. Can anyone help with the juice control thing, is it only meant to unscrew half a turn ?
Many thanks in advance

They do seem tight to start with. When building put a little juice on the threads on the juice control, and a little on the chimney o-ring. The more you use the v2 the better it gets. Don't have too much wick outside of the chamber, that would jam the threads if it gets into them.
Other thing, make sure the juice control/chimney isn't bent.

You should be able to unscrew the juice control numerous turns. If you take it apart and place the chimey in the top section there should be a indentation in the top of the chimey stem. If you push the chimey down there should be resistance until the ridge passes the o ring in the top cap, this is the amount you should be able to unscrew it before its fully detached from the top of the deck. Can you post a pic of the chimey so we can have a look.

Thanks Ripshod. If I remove the silicone o ring that the chimney screws on to, it will unscrew about 1 1/2 turns. Do I leave it in or out ?

fartvaper You have to use it or all the juice will just flood out. When I noticed it with mine (I had 2), the first one I lightly sanded the o-ring down til it eased. The second one I spent half an hour watching TV and just spinning the juice control in the top cap (dry, no juice) til it eased. tbh it only took a couple of days to ease off completely. I'm a dumba**, only speed read your post. The one under the juice control, you can try removing it, but I think it's only letting it screw down more. You need it to open more. ETA: If the juice control spins on the threads easy without the tank, then it can only be a bent juice control or the top o-ring. If it's tight on the threads then all you can do is play with it til it eases. If you try squeezing the threads with anything you could make it impossible to insert your ceramic.

mmm, My tank is half full, but I swear I don't recall seeing an o-ring at the bottom of the juice control threads. Take it off, see what happens. If you microcoil it so you use a thin wick you may just get away with 1 1/ 2 turns tbh

The only real way to ease the threads is to use it. When it's juiced it should ease some anyway.
