Chrissie, the forum did recommend a big battery to me originally, it just seemed like a very big jump in size from my tiny rollies (and a big committment not to smoke anymore). Even when my spending evens out i still think that vaping will cost me more than tobacco, but the health benefits soon outway that! I'm addicted to nicotine and now I'm cutting out all the other nasties so it can only be good (and I like it!) Now if Mr Karma took up vaping, we would save a fortune. Still, while he continues to spend around £50 per week on ciggies he can't moan at me for spending, whether that be on my new vaping hobby or my shoe and boot thing! Also, whatever size batteries you buy they will all die sooner or later so there is no harm in having spares

Hi Wayne. Ex rollie smoker myself, I was getting through between 75 & 100 grammes a week and would spend the time it took to boil the kettle for the first morning brew coughing my guts out. Got my stuff 5 or 6 days ago and haven't touched a rollie since, not coughing anymore either.

Once you have your e-cig (minimum 2 batteries, 3 to be safe) if you can resist you urge to keep buying gadgets vaping costs per week should be:
3 cartomisers £4 (I can make 1 last a week) 20 ml Liquid £8
so £12 a week?
Figure on a Riva/Ego battery lasting about 6 months so £60 a year (6 batteries)
* above is a guide, you will see it is cheap IF you can keep yourself from buying stuff all the time! You can work out what your expenditure is based on your usage.
Most new users and a fair proportion of "seasoned" vapers however just keep buying stuff, but if you're strong you can really do it on the cheap!

Holy smoke! (or Vape) You turn your back for a few hours and everyone pops in to say hello! Hi again and thanks for the warm welcome! I can't believe just how much more satisfying 'vaping' is compared to smoking?!! And the fact that there is such a huge variety of flavours to swap at will, I don't think I want to go back to boring old fags! I am actually excited at the prospect of receiving cappucino juice tomorrow...And, thanks to Nick at Vapology for amending my order and emailing straight away to tell me, I will also be getting 'Chococcino', which I think is cappucino with a hazlenut twist. Do you ever remember being excited at the prospect of buying cigarettes? (Maybe the exception is when you ran out of smokes the night before and had to go through the ash tray smoking the butts before the shops opened!!!) I can't be certain but I'm sure I've vaped about 20 to 30 drops today. No idea what this equates to in mils but I have spent about £80 on the kit and 160ml of juice, and with the exception of replacing carts/atty's etc I'm pretty sure it will be massively cheaper and last a lot longer than the 30 days of smoking I would have had if that £80 would've been spent on smokes?! (I couldn't really afford it all in one go, but totally justified it to myself because I WOULD have spent that money on tobacco anyway!) Am now on a spending ban! I even took my credit card off myself just in case I get tempted!!! No harm in looking though. Thanks for the positivity - think I'm going to like it here.

Wayne, I'd never even thought about that before - you are right, I never got excited about buying cigarettes, in fact the opposite

Welcome to Wayne and all the others I've not met. I've been vaping just over 18 months, after 30 - 40 rollies a day. I've not wanted an analogue since I've started vaping. I've just stopped wanting every new toy that comes on the market

That's an interesting one Lefty, I work to 30 drops per ml from a standard dropper bottle. Worth some investigating It does vary, on the dropper size etc but I think the conventional measurement is 20 drops per ml on average because of how many drops of water you get per ml so it's likely to change for eliquid If I use a pipette or "wide" nozzle bottle dropper I do get about 20 drops per ml but if I use the thin droppers or from a thin needle it's closer to 30 - 35. Thickness of the liquid can change it too I think > www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-maintenance/141951-drops-per-ml.html funny thread with a bunch of guys making their case for 20 or 30 drops as well
