there is a bit of fear and confusion surrounding which juices are safe to use in cartomiser tanks as it has been documented that some will reacting with the tubes causing them to disintegrate or crack. so the point of this thread is to get together a list of safe and unsafe juices that is more aimed at UK please post with lists of juices and your experiences with them being used in a carto tank. i will then update this first post to get a comprehensive list SAFEDekang RY Hi5 Dekang RY4 Tobacco Dekang Flu Cured Freedom Vape Cappuccino Freedom Vape Caramel Freedom Vape RY4 Freedom Vape Strawberry Grizwalds Cocomel Grizwalds Toffee Popcorn Grizwalds Whiskey Cream Hangsen Butterscotch Hangsen Caramel Hangsen Cotton Candy Hangsen HS Impulse Hangsen RY4 Hangsen Virginia Paradise Vape Banana Paradise Vape Cappuccino Paradise Vape Caramel 2 Paradise Vape LnB Paradise Vape RY4 Pink Spot G Spot Totally Wicked (old) RY4 Virgin Vapors Bananas Foster Virgin Vapors Banana Nut Bread Virgin Vapors Kona Coffee Milkshake Virgin Vapors Kona Velvet Virgin Vapors Not So Virgin Egg Nog Vermillion River Caramelized Cappuccino Vermillion River Kentucky Premium Blend Vermillion River Kentucky Vanilla Blend UNSAFEDO NOT USE THE FOLLOWING JUICES IN CARTO TANKS Sour flavors Malic acid Citrus acid Cinnamon like "atomic cinnamon" types, not warm cinnamon like cinnamon coffe cake, this is okay Wintergreen juice or flavoring TPA ripe banana flavoring TPA honeysuckle flavoring TPA maraschino cherry flavoring TPA cherry blossom flavoring TPA root beer flavoring mimosa(because of the orange) cola(because of cinnamon)? Lorann Butter Rum Oil based/e liquid that conains essential oils, when mixed with pg/vg, creates esters which will crack plastics E liquids that contain triacetin, used in vg liquids to carry flavor more effectively

How long does it take for the juices to crack the tanks? Anyone know?
And it's interesting that vermillion river is on the safe list, as they are listed on another list as being bad.

Hi Gordy, I applaud yer aims, but for me this approach is a bit back to front. Rather than generate an ever expanding list of juices that can crack polycarb tanks I think it might be better to point folks at suppliers of tanks that won't crack in the first place TBH, any supplier of polycarb tanks is potentially letting down thier customers. It shouldn't be left to the consumer to have to avoid using perfectly vapable juices. > A better solution IMO would be to point folks at good suppliers who sell tanks that are up to the job, eg: Totally Wicked - Tanks made of Polypropelene Alba Vapours - Tanks made of Pyrex Siam Mods - Tanks made of Delrin I'm sure there are others out there as well. This way the good guys would get the trade, and the others would have to up thier game. It's really not difficult to source the right materials for the job if you put your mind to it. Just a matter of having the right priorities. Cheers, John Edit - spelling

Have to agree with flimflam - if polycarbonate is a problem, why are tank makers still using it?

This thread isnt to debate what carto tank is better than another carto tank. we all know of other such tanks that are 'safer' with possible juice reactions and for those such tanks they dont have to worry about threads like this. However i'll take this opportunity to mention there are concerns over the fragility of glass tubes and the opaque nature of delrin and stainless steel. This thread is intended for those people that already have Big Daddy or DCT tanks (of which there are many) who are confused as to which juice is safe to use in their tanks. so by sharing our experience i hope to shed a clearer light on the confusion. As Womble said other such lists have Vermillion River as a suspect juice however from my experience you can see i quite happily use several of their juices in my tanks without an issue It is my thinking that the actual number of unsafe juices amount to a fraction of 1% of all juices on the market and that the problem with using polycarbonate has been slightly exaggerated ?

This thread isnt to debate what carto tank is better than another carto tank. Hi Gordy, That wasn't me point mate, and I'm sorry if you took it that way. Fact is food and drink for example, ain't generally sold in polycarb containers, and there's a reason for that.
- I stand corrected, me apologies GordyI'll say no more and get me coat, John

Im pretty sure polycarbonate is widely used for food and drink containers but it is advised not to heat them or use if scratched due to the BPA
