Thanks for the warning Pepperty, do you mean the resistance wire is thin or the weld breaks easily? I was born and raised on the Wirral by the way.

bit of both.
when i have used them if space allowed id incorporate a single wrap of the non res wire either end to try adding some stiffness to the coil.

I've not had any pre-welded nr-r-nr wires break on me but I tend to use these wires and coils in my diver builds, penelope and my ebarron drippers which are built on a ceramic cup and I remake every few weeks as they hold flavour for a decent length of time. I could probably get the wick out, dry burn and re-thread but I feel its as quick to reassemble with a fresh wire
