Intend to update this daily, or even hourly if I feel thee urge.

My riva 1100 arrived from Jason at www.vapeescape.com on saturday, and boy was I excited. Like Xmas day all over again, stiill have a dozen pairs of socks not worn, and don't even mention the festive jumper from mum!

I digress. So being the rather impatient sort I am, it was immediately fired u/p, cartomisers fueled, and on the grid for the warm up lap.

Well. 1st taste and I was'nt too pleased, but I expected that anyway, having read that the juices should be left to stand for 24/48 hours. So didn't particularly worry.

Found that the menthol was the most palletable one so ignoring the Virginia, 555, and flue cured, I headed off to collect car from where it was abandoned the night before. (Yes, I was ever so slightly drunk).

Popped round mates house, just to show off a little, like you do. They use e-lites and couldn't believe how good the riva is. Topped his last carto with juice and gave him a flier that Jason sent with the kit, (another convert methink) and off I went.

Evening time and out for meal with friends, two of whom are going cold turkey, badly. They absolutely loved it. Ordering today they reckon. (Hope you're reading this Jason)

Now I took this out of the box at 10.00 am and 4 of us were using it most of the night till around midnight and still battery was fine with just the factory charge. I can't tell you how impressed I was.

Blinking heck guys, I need to do some work, Sundays escapades will follow later if that's OK.

Glad you're enjoying yourself Brian. Nothing like releasing the inner-child that starting vaping brings out in you.

My Sunday escapades involved introducing my mum to Ikea Warrington in the morning (she's wanted to go for yonks but wouldn't go on her own) where I vaped my head off all the way round the store and in the cafe without a word being said (well not to me anyway!)

Did you find the cartomisers easy to fill, Brian? This is probably the one thing concerning me the most at the moment, that I'm going to make a hash of it. I think I will leave them overnight to soak before using them, as I've seen many people recommend, to avoid being put off by the crap flavour that seems to happen if you use them too fast.

hmmmm I use 70% PG 30% VG generally, use the condom method for the first fill only, let the liquid "bobble" up the central tube then a few drips in the top and keep adding until the carto will take no more juice. Leave for 10 minutes then off I go!

If the ejuice is cold (straight out of fridge especially) then the liquid does get more viscous. You could warm it up a bit by dropping the bottle in a cup of hot (not boiling) water.

brian: you may want to try this even if your liquid is not cold as it will make it more runny.

I too condom fill and then vape it to death then do another condom fill using about 5 cartomizers they have all lasted me well over two weeks so far with only one getting a little hard to draw on will chuck it in the box for trial at cleaning when the others start to go. 5 cartos last me most of the day in my job (hgv driver wonder if i can mod a hands free lol)
I then refill when i get homeready for the morning.
Cant believe the amount of people that have looky like that they are not happy with till i show them they can be filled and when they try my lava tube they are well surprised I keep some of the condoms and snip the ends and slip them over the drip tip for them to try keeping it hygenic

So do you condom fill every time? I only do it for the first fill then continually top it up, which can be a bit annoying!
Let us know how you get on with cleaning the carto, are you just going to rinse it out?

I am gonna try the boil method I have had minor success with filling and rinsing with vodka and water but yes i condom fill every time then just blow through and put the caps back on I take tissue to give them a wipe before i use them and use a dvd pen to write the flavours on which wipes off when you refill so you just rewrite.
I have got a few drip tips to do the same (colour code) didnt know i could be so organised lol

DVD pen, great idea. I'm currently vaping a mixture of something, no idea what cause I got them mixed up at the weekend when I had a drink! I also noticed that I'm a very sloppy filler when drunk lol!

Boil method? Boil them up in a pan for a few minutes then dry?

Oh yeah, babbling. Its so good to be on my laptop instead of phone with little keypad. see the sacrifices i make to keep you nosey parkers informed?

So anyways.... Sunday began with another sore head, im not an alcoholic really, just not enough drinking time. ???

Decided that as the menthol flavour was fine the night before, that i`d stick with it today too, which started well. Had another poker tournament today. Of course you dont know ive another addiction, and i`ll tell you more about this at another time.

So 2 o,clock came and me and the misses (gale), she`s South African, More later on that, were off to the local drinking establishment where theres a £5 entry tournament starting. Wont bore you with the details of who won etc, because i was rubbish and came nowhere near the money.

We play for an hour, and me and gale are puffing away at our devices, getting envious glances from the nasties smokers, and weird glances from others who must have wondered why im putting a metal tube in my mouth. .

So then an hour has passed and its break time. the smellies go out in the freezing cold to satisfy their cravings . Now i didnt really think that my sense of smell had changed, but they all stank like old chimneys, seriously. Didnt they give me it in the neck for turning into a grumpy ex-smoker! hee hee...

It wasnt long after this that i was out of the tournie, which was a minor blessing really. I just couldnt any satisfaction from any of the carto`s i`d filled the day before, the menthol was`nt hitting the spot, just did`nt get a tasty hit at all. So ats its not far, and i was`nt drinking, it was time to pop home for t`other carto`s and start again. Better, but still not as good as it was night before, even the menthol in a new carto didnt really do it.

MONDAY

Lovely job, no hangover.
Started this little project, to remind myself and let new guys and old wrinklies, know whats what in my personal venture through vaping.
Looked through a lot of old and new posts on here to see what i can do to achieve a more consistent taste and throat hit. Dont get me wrong here, ive no intention of going anywhere near the smellies again, just want an improvement.
Looking at a tank maybe, or a clearomiser, i dont know for certain.
I see that Daz??? from www.safercigs.co.uk is relatively local to me in Bournemouth and he works the Wimborne market on saturdays, so i guess im gonna pester him for information, in exchange for him emptying my bank account. There is just so many things to squander money on in this so-called cheap hobby. >

condom fill is the best way, ive found to start with, then drip fill to top-up. i do it from the mouthpiece, but i know some do it from the battery end, dont think you can do that with auto batteries though, as it can ruin a battery.
as for leaving overnight, good thinking, also 24/48 hours for steeping apparently.
Im such a newbie myself, that mostly im repeating what ive read myself.
I am addicted to this site now that is scary. Gale keeps looking over and complaining im ignoring her..... OUCH!!!! See what i mean? Im off
