Two threads in one night, gosh I'm on a roll *cheer*For my birthday I got the MVP2 snagged in the TW sale last week Have been vaping away on it since it arrived, a girl has to try these things out to make sure they work before the big unwrapping present day right? Anyway it's been fine with an Evod chucked on top with a 2.1 coil & my trusty CE4 rebuildable looky likeys however tonight I've tried a Protank 2 with 2.4 coil (also snagged in sale ) with my favourite chocomel 18mg juice and even on the lowest settings it's burning.Tried dumping the juice out and trying Custard instead but same thing D What am i doing wrong?

Providing the MVP is making a decent connection (check resistance of coil to make sure) then sounds like a dodgy coil in the Protank. Do you have another coil to swap out?

Might be a duff coil TJ . . . could be worth trying another and leaving it for 20minutes or so before you fire up, just to give the wick plenty of time to become fully saturated with liquid. Some Protank/Evod heads do also improve with an overnight soak in Bicarb, depends what wick has been used - some can have a funky taste. ETA: Crossed posts with mrmotivapr. . . happily we gave the same advice.

Hi TJ, I don't have a MVP2 but I'm just wondering if the PT2 airflow is being restricted as it takes its air from underneath, little holes just above the 510 threads whereas your evods and CE4 take there air from the holes in the sides of the atties. Might be worth getting a AFC for your PT2.

I haven't figured out how to quote or tag people yet on here but I will learn I promise It reads 2.4 so reading right I presume? I didn't think about the airflow to be honest but I do have an airflow controller somewhere in the trinket box otherwise known as the #I am sure I will need one of these at some point box# so will try that thank you. And I do have a spare coil to try but I think I only have 1.8 as opposed to 2.4, presume that will be ok. I do let them soak for about an hour, that lesson was learnt very early on - LOL! I think I will also give any new ones a bath before using from now on, I've only had stock heads all this while and have had funky flavours before so perhaps bathing them all first may be better in the long run. I will do all this tomorrow night and report back, thank you helpful lot again

I will do all this tomorrow night and report back, thank you helpful lot again Stock coils are built at different resistances so if you fitted a 2.4ohm coil and its reading 2.4ohm then your on the money. Unfortunately there isn't anyway we can tell what you fitted previously so can't advise. Some coils do have the resistance printed on them, you may be able to read. Do you use the MVP in voltage mode or wattage mode? If you use in wattage mode then you won't notice a difference between the 1.8ohm coil and the 2.4ohm coil. If you use in voltage mode you may need to dial the voltage down slightly to match the vape you currently get with the 2.4ohm coil. If I was in your shoes, I would: 1. Disassemble everything and remove the coil. 2. Give everything a good soapy wash and dry. 3. Fit new 1.8ohm coil in and test resistance If resistance is reading correctly, ie 1.8ohm then fill with liquid and vape. If the resistance is not showing 1.8ohm then check the coil is fitted correctly. Also clean the 510 of the MVP and even try and prise the pin up slightly inside the 510. You will get there mate

tbh standard protank coils dont like more that 10 watts so check what setting you have the mvp on start at lowest power and turn it up between vapes til you get the setting you like (hopefully before the burnt taste comes in)
