Mixed up some ccw custard @20% 
steeped it for a month, tastes vile anyone else used it? What did you think?

Yep pretty dire, was a bit of a let down to be honest.
It has a wierd vinegar type after taste of some sorts.
Im still looking for a nice single, straight out the bottle custard to mix.

Capella VC V1 is still my go to custard.

I have tried others but always seem to come back to it.

In a word . . . horrible!

I also got a weird background minty taste . . .

But I put that down to it probably not containing either Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl, which give many flavours a creamy taste & depth.

Capella V1 or TPA's Vanilla Custard are my preference, although Chefs ABC is also a convenient way for making a tasty, simple VC custard mix.

If you're wanting a custard concentrate at a similar price then try @ukflavours vanilla custard , much better, or for slightly more money why not try TPA custard, you can get 100ml for around £12

CCW custard is by far the worst I have used. Mixed it at 25% woth vanilla and steeped for 3 months and nothing at all other than a strange colour!

I only use capella now but have just ordered the cheap one from chefs vapor to try and save a bit money. Custard making seems to be getting expensive for me as my recipes become more and more elaborate!

Yes . . . originally known as The Perfumers Apprentice, now also known as The Flavour Apprentice.

I presume to distinguish more clearly between the two categories.

Thanks lisburnvapes Id found 100mls on the chefs site but it was down as TFA.
