Success! Sort of................I got an email because I resent my enquire via 'sales'. Thought that would get through! Anyway would you believe this???? They asked me to make a video and upload it via utube then send them link. Hello............I am of the older generation and don't have a clue how to do this. I can just about take a video on my smart phone, with a bit of brain exertion, but upload to u tube, are you kidding????? I know these Chinese are smart but hey, this is old me in the u.k. can't keep up with that. I reckon, I'll just have to cut my losses and write it off as a mistake. Unless of course one of you clever folk can talk me through how to do it. Geeeez, I couldn't believe this!!!! No more fasttech for me, I'll leave it for you young smart folk.

No more fasttech for me, I'll leave it for you young smart folk. I'm certainly neither young or smart crazyquilter . . . but I am fully aware of the calculated risk I take buying from China, from any Vendor - not just Fasttech. If something goes wrong with a purchase, other than non delivery, I'm prepared to write it off as the hassle ( for me ) isn't worth the effort. It's the trade off between enjoying their prices and expecting the standard of service we receive from many UK/EU/US Vendors. China shopping isn't for you if you aren't prepared to be aware of this.

You are right I know now. I have bought knitting wool from China with no problem so I envisaged the same experience this time. I didn't consider I would have to calculate a trade off if things went wrong, I didn't expect anything to go wrong. Poor thinking, perhaps if I did, I wouldn't have bought there in the first place. Lesson learned. It's obviously a case of you pay your money and you take a chance. .

It's obviously a case of you pay your money and you take a chance. . Unfortunately yes . . . though tbf, I've bought a shed load of stuff from China and only had one thing DOA ( doubtless I've put the kibosh on all future China shopping! ) from a seller on Aliexpress. I stood my ground in refusing to make video's, wouldn't have a clue in all honesty, nor do I want to know. They did give me a full refund, as I'd bought other items from them and sellers funds aren't released until satisfaction with a purchase is given on Ali. In that instance they decided to cut their losses to my benefit, although I'd written the purchase off in my head. Tell FT you don't have the technical equipment necessary to make a video perhaps, not everybody does . . . see what they say.

Just tell them you have no means of making a video, attach a picture of it (display side) if possible and tell them it will not charge.

I've had 3 items that had issues.
Two of them I explained the problem and they asked me to mail it back. They reimbursed me for the postage the day after I uploaded a picture of the postal recipts and refunded the items 2 weeks later.
The third one had a peice missing. They asked me to take a picture of the package then gave me the option to return it or make up the difference for the missing part.
They've been fair and reasonably prompt.
Ask them if photos will do. If so, and your phone is compatible, click the upload image link on their ticket page and you will see a camera option. Take a picture of the item and it will automatically upload to their site.

Just thinking. Maybe a video from your phone will work the same way.

They aren't too bright at FT, they asked me to send a photo of the missing parts so they would know what the parts looked like to make it easier for them to send the missing ones out to me. I asked how on Earth they imagined i could take photos of things i don't have I then sent them a link to their own listing showing the kit.
