Hello all, I got an Earl (clone of eleaf) from Fasttech, good price cheaper than eleaf. Anyhow, after about 10 days, it is dead. Won't charge, no nothing. This is what I get for being a cheapskate. I contacted Fasttech via their website which says it will contact you within 24 hours. Nope they haven't. I can't get in touch with them again because they have a system of raising a numbered ticket, which is your order number. If you want to ask why they haven't replied to you, up comes the ticket again and it says if you add to it, it will go to the end of the queue. So if I ask why they haven't got in touch I go to the end of the queue again. Vicious circle, don't know what to do. This thing was under guarantee, so I expect a refund or replace. To finish off the tale of woe they are going on holiday or something soon for a week or so. Now I need to get a new battery, but this time, it won't be the other end of the world. Anybody complained to Fasttech? How did it go???

Yes, they are on holiday now that's probably why you are not getting a reply. In general when I've had problems they have been pretty good. You just have to be patient. When they do communicate with you make your replies plain and simple, remember English is not their first language. They will probably ask you to send the faulty item back to them, get a proof of postage and a receipt. They will refund you the postage cost if your item is found to be faulty. However it all takes time, probably 2 - 3 months in all. In the end you'll hopefully get a credit gift code which you can use to make further purchases. Hope this helps.

They've always resolved problems when I've had them...patience though is the key unfortunately.

Have you tried charging it while it's switched on crazyquilter ? I have an Earl too and thought mine was a dud as when I went to recharge it the first time nothing seemed to be happening so I switched it on to check the level just in case it was charging and noticed the battery reading flickering so I left it to charge and when it was full it turned itself off, seems to be holding a full charge doing it that way.

I have a smart 20, same as earl different name but £2 dearer(doh!). Left it to charge, came back to it wouldnt turn on. Thought it was buggered. Plugged it back into usb & managed to get it back to life whilst it was still plugged in. Been A-OK since.

Yip in the same boat Smok Xpro DOA - ticket times are in working hours, so 24 hours means 3 days, longer due to their New Year break. Patience grasshopper we will get there.

I don't know if its on or off, nothing on the wee screen, dead as a do do. I don't do patience much, like it all done yesterday and if I order something I want that yesterday too. icon_shoppingm. I will plug it in and leave it and see what happens, nothing lost. Had to send poor husband on a three hour round trip to get me another spinner so I have a back up when charging my original spinner. Ah well, thanks to all replies, much appreciated, Actually they aren't on holiday till next week, so they want to deal with my ticket RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! To tell the truth, I preferred the spinners anyway. A pretty wee box battery makes me think of incendiary devices. Never trusted it since day one anyway. Just my preference I suppose. Thanks all again. Love this board, don't know what I would do without it sometimes.

I think they should change their name to slowtech! I reckon when they get an order, they are actually pretty quick considering where its coming from, but like all other businesses, slow as treacle when it comes to replacements/refunds or whatever. I'll just stick with my lovely man (you know who) in the market!

The holiday starts next week, however lots of staff migrate back to their home regions to celebrate beforehand, hence loss of productivity. Waiting is the only option.
