This is the line that the ANTZ will use to discredit this report:
"Conflicts of interest The company for which the study authors work and the companies that manufacture the e-cigarettes tested for this study are owned by the same parent company."
Why, why, why didn't they get an independent to do it!!!!!!?????
And since when did Skycig own 30% of the UK vaping market. What's more how did they come to this conclusion? Nothing in the report about this, discredited as containing fictional or dubious information in the Introduction.
HOWEVER!
I do believe that the science in this paper is sound and that the readings could be replicated in an independent lab which holds a lot of weight in the science community.
***PESSIMISTIC VIEWPOINT***
They are doing this so that they can say that their e-cigarettes deliver this, this and this at this, this and this amount - ready for potential impending legislation.
At the end of the day it's a well written paper that has researched e-cigarettes in the manner that they are used in real life but it would have been nice to see a comparison between different devices rather than just cig-a-likes. This would have also given more weight to the final outcomes.
PS: I have a license for loads of journal websites including Elsevier so i can email you the pdf if you require it rather than just be able to save the weblink.

Sounded good at first but from what I have read, Lorillard are running with the fox and chasing with the hounds. They want TPD type restrictions but they also want to paint e-cigs in a good light, that way they can afford to produce sealed cartridge type e-cigs that conform to government regulations at the same time as getting generation 2,3 and 4 vaping devices closed down, thus leaving themselves with no competition. It is a win win for them, they are not stupid! I was misled a bit as well, but they cant really distance themselves from the other kit out there. All in all it is still a tobacco company saying that ecigs are safe.
