A dropper bottle!!!!!!

Ironically i think that dropper bottles should be consigned to the bin!  What is the point of them?  

Ok so here's the bulk of my rant....

I have loads of liquid that comes in dropper style bottles and at first i thought that they were the mutts nuts, but as time goes on they annoy me more and more for the following reasons:

1)  They are made of glass and more prone to break in transit, they cost more too.
2)  The caps are always a little shoddy compared to PET bottles and i don't trust them in my pocket.
3)  The droppers are useless most of the time for accurately dispensing liquid.
4)  If you knock the bottle over then the liquid pours out.
5)  There always seems to be more liquid in the bottle than there really is because of the stupid dripper displacing the liquid.

But seriously i know at least one supplier that has changed over to dropper bottles recently as an "upgrade" from plastic and i wanna strangle him for picking rubbish bottles that made me look like i wet myself this morning.  Not only that but i wasted a whole load of really good liquid.  This never happened when he was using PET bottles and they are way easier to use when you are out and about.

I dunno, what do people think?  I'm going to make pizza!

don't like dropper bottles for eliquids either - only had once one - and immediately poured it into a 'normal' plastic bottle

The place where I buy my main 2 juices from sell them in glass bottles which although look nice are a PITA to fill a tank and the child proof caps stop working after a few uses - leaving me to resort to using my teeth to get the bloody things open!

TBH I really should of bought some squeezy bottles by now...

I agree, glass dropper bottles are quite useless. Depending on your atty they can be absolutely hopeless, you'd never fill a kayfun or the like with one.

A simple PET covers all bases with a plastic dropper cap and you can poke those green spikes on for the kayfunalikes

They are just an excuse to have an even bigger mark-up on the liquid IMO, like it's not huge enough anyway. Presentation over content and as you put in the OP they are of inferior utility.

I've just dumped a load of glass bottles I bought for mixing. Dirty, leaking, Amber b@stards! The tops are indeed sh@t. The batch I owned, seriously no kidding, you could watch them unscrew themselves! When empty and dry, no problem. As soon as you introduce liquid into the equation something bizarre happens to the rubber in the cap and immediately after you tighten them they spin back on themselves before your very eyes!
I really am too busy to spend 10 minutes filling up a naughtilus!

Some of them glass dripper bottles with "child proof caps" can be undone by just turning the rubber, it bypasses the plastic sprung mechanism.

Not got any, but a few London meets ago I tried a couple of sample bottles that opened like that and one that didn't.  Not an issue we want: non-child-proof child-proof caps.
