Chain Vapers?

Hi All

I'm quite a light vaper really, morning a couple, with lunch and generally after tea, before bed etc..

1 disposable Gamucci lasted me nearly 5 days..

just out of curiosity I was wondering if there such a thing as chain vapers, (As there is with chain smokers etc)..or do they find that vaping causes them to smoke less sort of thing?.

A lot of members in here say they chain vape Martin. I s'pose the difference between an e cig and a cigarette is you smoke a cigarette until it's finished, but with an e cig you can have one or two puffs then put it down and it won't go out or burn away! I've probably vaped 2 mls today and that's just puffing on it now and then all day.

Haha.. Actually I realised the question is kinda daft, because like you said Anne, the delivery is different, and the amount of nicotene ingested etc is different, so I guess it's not really comparable to chain smokking.. hmm....

I am actually finding vaping a lot more enjoyable though than smoking too, never had all those yummy flavours etc with smoking... I have a feeling I will probably end up vaping more than I have been once I get all the new flavours etc. ... sooooo...

So vaping more than smoking appears to be common. But many people report that they have now reduced the nicotine strength of their juice over time showing a lower dependence on nicotine and they vape just for the flavours.

There are zero strength juices available to try too.

yep, when not at work I chain vape!
I ordered some 30ml juices from VE, they come in high, med and low nicotine. I've been vaping Med at about 20mg but think it's probably too much considering all the vaping I'm doing.
I didn't feel ready to go down to Low, 10mg as I don't want to get cravings (still early days) and reach for a rollie. i asked Jason if he could do me some juice at 15mg and he oblidged, no problem!

I started out using about 1 ego T tank a day which is about half a ml. Then I got CE2s and I started to use about 1ml a day because the taste was so much cleaner. Then I got an ego booster for my egos (it's too expensive to consider buying one of these now, I got it massively discounted on sale ) and because I was using more voltage I was up to 2ml a day but vaping just as much as I ever did.

Now I have a lavatube, still using CE2s and I now go through 4ml a day probably because I have it set to 5v using 2.5ohm CE2s so I get a good throat hit out of 6mg.

I don't really feel like I get any more nicotine than I used to when I started but I did start on 18mg which was way too high for me so I did only take a few puffs now and then. Now I'm on 6 - 4mg and happily vape my way through 4ml a day.

The device you use seems to make a huge difference in how much you vape volume wise.

Though, I admit, I don't usually go more than 5 minutes when I'm not at work without taking a puff. Instead of waiting every half an hour to an hour to make a rollie and smoke it, I just pick up my lavatube and have one to five puffs on it and set it down. At 6mg it's not a lot of nicotine so I top my levels up much more frequently than when I smoked but not as many puffs per session.

So yeah, lots of chain vapers out there.

Yeah, I noticed I tend to vape more at different sort of times than when I was smoking, when I was smoking was a lot more habitual, ie, first thing in the morning, after a meal, etc.. but since vaping Ive noticed Im not so bothered about that hit in the morning but love sitting in bed with a book, laptop etc, and vaping away.. which I never would of done with cig, or rolly etc.. hmm, I'm finding vaping soo much more enoyable too..

One thing I've noticed that might not be true to everyone is that I don't get nearly as strong a craving to vape as I did when I smoked. A few months ago I did a 30 hour journey to Oklahoma and didn't feel like I needed to vape. I still did between flights in the bathrooms on my now retired ego-T but it wasn't like when I smoked, I just had the time free and felt like it.

I did the same journey a year before when I still smoked and it was terrible. I was so frustrated on the long flights and hated that I couldn't leave the airports to get a smoke. 30 hours without one was torture and the first thing I did when I got outside in Oklahoma was find somewhere to smoke.

I feel like I could very easily not vape for a few days. I have before and even went to 0mg for a week (I don't think vaping flavoured air does much for me lol, more frustrating that you don't get what you expect, might as well not vape than 0mg imho).

I could stop vaping any time really, to me it would be like cutting out eating chocolate or a morning coffee rather than quitting smoking. I feel like I've already quit if you know what I mean and vaping is a way to keep my hands and mind busy as someone who's really nervous outside or when I'm at the computer with not a lot to do. The 6mg I use is for the throat hit rather than the nicotine content. If there was a 0mg juice with a good throat hit I'd probably use it, but I'm alright to use nicotine for the throat hit as it's just as 'harmful' as the coffee I drink at that level.

I've noticed the same thing, I just don't seem to get the same "awareness of needing/wanting a smoke" for want of a better word, or any cravings really since vaping, yet with nicotene lozengers, gums etc, I used to just spit them out and have a cig lol.. I am finding vaping becoming more of a hobby eh, and wonder if it might end up more addictive than smoking haha., but in a way like you said, there doesnt seem to be the craving effect, and I aim to cut down to 0mg at some point too.. and just enjoy the flavours/smoke etc...

I guess it shows as well, what they do put in analogues eeeek

I too find that I can go for longer periods between vapes now as opposed to say 12 months ago.

It's a bit of a phenomena Griz . . . I'll chain vape when I can, but if I can't, it doesn't bother me and I'm not climbing the walls as I would have been when smoking tobacco.

Im the same perpy, i chain vape at home yet when I go say shopping I no longer take it with me, I don't crave it like I did a fag. Though good thing is nearly 3 months without a fag and I never think about them now! in fact it disgusts me when i have to walk through a cloud of fag smoke, makes me feel sick!
