I managed to cancel my other pre order and have now ordered again via Evkoo. Hopefully putting me to the back of the que when the proper ones come off the production line. Working on the principle that Smok won't make the same mistake twice. But I guess we will see in a couple of months. It will be interesting to see if the firmware update works as it should. Yep, I'm sure Smok will fix the issue

Hi guys, Smok Xpro M80 will arrive our warehouse next month. We reported the issue you mentioned to Smoktech and are waiting for their response. As I know, Smoktech manufactured a small batch of M80 Plus before Chinese new year and will start production next week. I believe the issue will be fixed soon. have you got a estimated date?

Probably the same innards with a bigger battery. I think they knew a bit more than they are letting on, made thousands of them and had to shift them It doesn`t bode well for the firmware update.

A bit short sighted in terms of their reputation if that is the case. Even the Chinese consider reputation to be important. But it seems very strange they would put out a product that clearly doesn't work. They must test at least one of them on the production line, I would have thought. Or maybe they didn't and the whole board is bad from their supplier and they blindly built them.
