Many people are reporting the Sub-Tank, Atlantis, Lemo, Delta 2 Etc are replacing their Euro & US designed tanks and drippers. Pro-Tanks and Nautiluses is were a big step up last year, but the current sub-ohm capable tanks seem to be getting more love than things like the Kayfun V4 (inc at clone prices) and many drippers.
So have Chain taken the lead in design for the go-to topper?
Take your go-to or must have topper even if it is a Chinese clone if the original was not Chinese designed vote no.
(This time next month we can have a poll to guess when the USA will start cloning Chinese atties)

Aren't they all made in China? Designed, most of the clones were of USA or European design.

Most definitely, both design, and pricing, why would you spend all that money on a legit kayfun or erl when things like these can do the same thing for a fraction of the pricing.

Atlantis and subtank all day for me now. Having fun rebuilding the heads and also using nickel. For me they have hit the nail on the head with performance vs faff. China ftw

I'm sure the Chinese are just as much into vaping as we are so it stands to reason they will look at designs and do a bit of redesigning. Whether they will make any technological breakthroughs is debatable. Sadly the cloning market means that as soon as something good comes along someone will copy it. Which means the life of a product is very short in terms of recouping any investment. Probably the best thing to do is put out a new product and say it's a clone.

IMO yes, the technology seems to be changing weekly, no longer can Chinese manufactured goods be looked on as inferior, yes there's still the odd example ( Cloupor mini springs to mind) .but there's also some great stuff either on the market or about to be released.
The Subtank I have found to be excellent, ELeaf seem to be really putting effort into QC with their products that are well packaged and have proven to be of a good standard.

I disagree the Kayfun 3, 3.1, light were around for ages, most of the ones bought were clones but for the poll they are not Chinese designed. Take your go-to topper even if it is a Chinese clone if the original was not Chinese designed vote no.

I don't disagree that the Chinese seem to be designing the best at the moment. My favorite is an eleaf GS Air. That's Chinese isn't it? And it's sitting on a Smart 20 clone of a Chinese iStick. Personally I don't care who designs it, as long as it does the job, and is well made. And is affordable. That seems to be the problem with US or EU products. The Chinese have realised there is a mass market for quality products and have gone at it. As a result they get our money. But maybe the cloning practices have deterred others from the market. Gone are the days of a one man band producing a few bespoke attys and charging a fortune. There are probably a few still around, but not mass market. Most vapers want a good vape and are not concerned with having a Rolls Royce of an atty. But China seem to be producing good looking, quality products at an affordable price.

Shouldn't there be an equally as good, option?
Having said that VB how many of us on this forum are using/have bought poor/good quality clones? And therefore are voting on the skill of the cloner rather than the original design?

In terms of tanks yes. My favourite every day tanks i pick up are the Lemo drop,Lemo,Subtank Mini and Subtank Nano. They're affordable for one thing, i guess that's the benefits of true mass production and low manufacturing costs but beyond that they perform great. I'm also really enjoying both the new Anyvape tanks i've tried, they both perform really well with the Atlantis heads. Drippers i don't use so much myself, i have a few but they're not something i pick up and use daily. I don't think the Chinese have that market cornered as much as tanks though, at least not in terms of original designs anyway. I think the Chinese are concentrating the design side of things more toward mass market and tanks are more mass market than drippers.
