Shouldn't there be an equally as good, option? Having said that VB how many of us on this forum are using/have bought poor/good quality clones? And therefore are voting on the skill of the cloner rather than the original design? The idea is to ignore if it's a clone and the issues around that, since I started vaping a lot of vapers have looked down on Chinese designs even though there have been some very good ones like the AGA-Ts & Foggers which had a sort of bargain basement rep despite being good original atties. Now China are having more and more success with original designs are their origional designs leading the market ATM? I only put 2 options to keep it simple, if you think they are equal then vote no. Some of the main Chinese manufactures that sell atties they design (they get cloned to). Innokin Aspire Kanger JoyeTech, ELeaf, Lemo UD, UD Tech Fogger

If China can now both design and manufacture these items to me it just shows they was never worth the £150 price tag to start with.
IMHO it will be the downfall of many western companies for producing goods that in both engineering and luxury terms are just not worth the money in this day and age. They should of took production to China from the start like most other items around us, stubbornness or due to the fact vaping is new they thought vaping goods would be that special? either way looking at this poll it looks like the Chinese companies have more profit to put towards design........so may be too late for some US and European companies.

When I first got off the cigalikes I put a lot of money into authentic stuff provari, kayfuns and now all my main stuff is Chinese sigelei 50w, istick 50w, lemos and subtank and they cost a fraction of the price and give me the best vape I've ever had. A couple of years ago Chinese stuff was for those of us on a budget and there were a lot that looked down at China made stuff how things have changed and as usual give the Chinese some time and they up their game. Yes they clone anything not nailed down and I'm not too keen on the wattage race that's kicked off but they are innovating themselves now and coming up with kit that equals the much more expensive non China kit in performance.

What China has done is bring vaping to the masses, those of us that cannot afford the £150 price tag for a RTA? or a device that operates no better than the clone. Most seem to forget a hell of a lot of the electronics in your fancy named devices from leading manufactures come from China! Shock horror!
Manufacturers and business are going to need to adapt or suffer the consequences, too long some have thought in the west that you can name yor price and the sheep will follow, this is not the case since what was really a Depression from 2008 onwards, not a recession as our MP's would have you believe.

VapingBadThe "Sparkes" is virtually identical to a Protank 2 except that the chimney is narrower, has to be drilled out to accept Protank 2 atomiser coils. Jim

China vote for me
The UD goblin knocks the socks of my other tanks by some way, all for 27.99. I even rate the subtank better than my kayfuns now, though granted it isn't as well made

I think the high money times are over for most company's whether they like it or not a premium can no longer be charged as some have been doing and the days of £100 tanks are definitely over except for those who just cannot accept Chinese products sadly there are quite a few but doubt enough to make a living from. As I'm on benefit and gonna be for the rest of my life I have to be the biggest cheapskate I can and in the past I had to accept less performance as a trade off now I don't have too. Biggest joke has been some of the cheap clones actually being better then the originals they copied which were massively more expensive I think an element of complacency set in with many manufacturers and it's come back to bite them. Whatever you think though these are great times to be a vaper and if we can get vaping on a settled legislative platform without bans we could be very happy for a long time

The only time I would be prepared to pay a premium would be for an item produced by the various Mod Makers, some of their creations are absolutely stunning, and worth every penny.

I agree with you there @carl47. But time will tell if even that segment can keep up with the innovation coming from China. One thing that has changed is the advent of complex electronics into the mod world. No longer is it a battery with a button. As the circuit boards become more complex and integrated into the unit it will be harder for bespoke makers to keep up, unless the electronics are available separately, as in the DNA type circuit boards. Something that will probably change.
