I've gone with a no although I'm not that clued up on all the recent tanks. What the Chinese have always been good at is not inventing but innovating. They take a successful design then improve on it.
Having said that you could argue that the original ecigarette was Chinese and everyone else took that idea and developed it.
What I don't think can be argued is that Chinese manufacturer's have made vaping affordable to most people.

Back on topic it appears over the last few months most of the hardware discussions on the forum have been about Knagertech, Eleaf, Aspire etc. and so the answer is probably Yes. They are designing and making the equipment that people desire.
