So I've had the subtank mini for a few weeks now and I've run it with a 3mm twisted kanthal micro coil and the vape has been ok. Not earth shattering but certainly better than my KFL clone. What I'm wondering is how others build there's using the RBA section?
Cheers Chris

I used my RBA deck for my Vapour Flask clone Temp limiting Ni200 on a 3mm former came out at 0.20 ohm if I remember correctly and I would say it's slightly better than the coil supplied, just recently recieved Nickel genuine coils, but have not used any yet

Did you wrap a micro or open coil?

For me open coil is definitely best in the Subtank. 5/4 wrap round a 2.4mm jewellers screwdriver wicked with Japenese cotton. Wicks amazingly, flavour and vapour are awesome.

Think I may get myself some .35mm to try.

This leaves me around 0.5 ohms, I add a couple of wraps for the Subtank I use on my P3 and that gives me around 0.7/0.8 ohms. Need to do this as P3 won't fire below 0.7 ohms.

Thank you csmith10. I might gear myself up to have a go . . . think I've some .32mm Kanthal, which was bought with the best of intentions and never used. Thank you iLardyboy . . . as above, I've some .38mm Kanthal, somewhere in the black hole of clobber.

No problem Perps, a 5/4 wrap with with 0.3mm on a 2.4mm screwdriver gives me 0.9/1.0 ohms which is how I build Kayfuns and the like. How are you finding the Subtank Perpetua?

How are you finding the Subtank Perpetua? Love it iLardyboy, for a change . . . having been really ' sniffy ' about the whole sub ohm business at last years VF when I tried a dripper. The light was seen when I used an Atlantis at a local vape shop - the AFC made a huge difference for me, not having quite such an airy vape. So now I'm converted!

They are great aren't they, they're all I use now. I have a nano for my Cloupor Mini and 3 minis for my other mods. Even with rebuilding and wicking they are very low maintenance and they perform amazingly. I can't see me using any other RBAs for the foreseeable future.

They are indeed iLardyboy . . . though I'm trying to not like them too much, as I've so much else squirreled away that needs using up first. But I've still succumbed to 3, Nano/Mini & FT Atlantis clone which came fitted with an Aspire coil and has been good for me - haven't bought any duplicates, yet. Though I'm not sure how long the resolve will last.

The official width of the 50w is 23mm though I don't own one it appears to have a slight bevel at the top, I imagine this will taper to 22mm as that is one of the "standard" tank sizes. The subtank mini is 22mm (which I do own) so imagine it would fit just nice, Though someone who owns both might be better placed to tell you just how much that bevel is. Chris
