Ok I've treated myself each pay day I've been Cig free. so for this month I really want a mech mod with a single coil rebuildable dripper. I tried one in the local vape shop that was his personal one and loved the taste and the vapour from it, cannot remember what it was but it was entirely brass inducing the dripper. Right down to brass tacks I've built coils (getting better at these) now have an ohms tester so I need recommendations for a basic 18650 with a single coil dripper to start off with.

You don't need a single coil dripper, use a dual coil dripper but just fit one Coil. For a copper Mod I can recommend FM Mods and a copper Plume Veil like this both available from Fasttech and Focalecig

If you are happy to order from China, you can get some great deals watsits I'm sure you'll have loads of suggestions, but I have been very happy with a Caravela kit (3 battery tubes to take 18350, 18500 and 18650s), and for dripper something like a Plume Veil or Magma. Both of these can be built either as single- or double-coil, giving you some flexibility for the future. I'm sure you have already read up on batteries, amperage and ohm limits when using a mechanical mod, and have budgeted for fresh high-discharge batteries and a reliable charger. All of the above can also be bought in the UK too, at a higher price of course. I'll sit back now and see what others think!

Thanks for the info Yes I have looked all over here for information and do's and don'ts of Mech Mods. I was a bit upset to be honest that something that didn't cost that much could produce so much flavour and vapour from the same juice I'm using granted it's a bit more messing around but after my first impressions I think it's well worth the effort. I wa looking at a SMPL that came with a RDA as it all flowed together and looked seamless. Not bothered if it Stainless, Brass or copper really.

Steel, brass and copper will all do the same thing, just down to your preference. Brass and copper need polishing steel doesn't. If your getting a smpl mod make sure the atty/dripper you get has the positive pin sticking out past the 510 connector, if not it will short.

Copper gives the best conductivity, then brass and then SS or so I've been told. My FM Mod/Plume Veil combo have quite a kick.

Understand that they will need more looking after but I have always loved Brass and Copper much warmer looking than steel

This is gorgeous and its coated so doesn't tarnish, Its got a hybrid connector so the junction with your dripper of choice will only show one seam, I use it with a copper Stillare which is a nice hassle free dripper imo, the Plume veil as well sits flush on the tube with the hybrid and is a great atty
