New to ecigs

Hi people hope your all well.. I'm Andy.

im new to the world of ecig we'll have had a couple but can never seem to get it quiet right. I started withe the small ego 650mah kit and yes ok to start but I started to get a sore throat after a short Time.. Went back to a local shop with sold me the Evod twist that goes up to 4.8v and a kangertank t? Well it broke after a week. What atomiser or tank is good and gives decent flavour and not that burning or damp dog taste.

Was it a Kangertank T2 you meant? Andy. Oh and a very warm and hearty AAEC to the forum with the answers. You could look at the mini Protanks 2 & 3 and the Protank 2 & 3 and there will be a lot more suggestions along in a minute.

Sorry to hear your start hasn't been the smoothest possible . . . onward & upward now though, as you've found us.

You can start really basic with something like this:

Or do you feel having tried something similar you'd like a device with a bit more oomphage?

It might also be worth checking the PG/VG ratios of your eliquid if you were getting a sore throat . . . a higher VG blend will be a little kinder on it.

funkymonkey welcome to AAEC, aside from the tank the juices you've been vaping might give you a sore throat too.
A higher ratio of PG will produce more of a throat hit than VG will, PG tends to dehydrate me more personally too.

As Perpetua said, more VG give a less of a harsh throat hit also, a higher nic content will give similar results.

Good luck giving the stinkies up and the soreness should ease very soon.

High nicotine levels or high PG can give a harsh vape, as can having the power too high. Also don't forget to drink plenty, as PG can dehydrate

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm from N.Ireland and the e liquid I was using was jellie Bellie 18mg nicotine. I think you right on the kangertank t2. I want something that will match in with the Evod twist battery I have at the minute. And a decent site to order decent oils.. I found I got no flavour of the kanger tank after an hr or so of using it.. Any suggestions that won't break the bank until I get satisfied again..

How many ciggies were you smoking before you converted funkymonkey? You might find that lowering your nicotine levels will help your sore throat, even if you end up vaping a bit more to compensate. As has been adequately mentioned above, PG does have a tendency to dehydrate you so plenty of sips of water will help this until you get used to it as well.
www.joosejuice.co.uk is a popular site, with 10ml tester bottles at £1.49. There is also Chef's Vapour who do a wide range of juices at good prices too.
Many of us will switch from one flavour to another various times during the course of a day to prevent our tastebuds getting bored of one flavour. This might be worth trying too!
Lastly, we refer to the liquid we use as e-juice, e-liquid or simply juice, but not oil. If it has any type of oil in it, be that vegetable or mineral, it is dangerous to inhale.
