Definitely as you will have to drill the old one out its been put in there really well.
Im in the middle of converting one to a dna40 so i had to get the old one out today in order to fit one of these link
If you try and drill it with the board in place there's a good chance of hit the end, then thats game over.

What do you think of the 510 you linked to @windows I was going to use one of them in my first build and was disappointed with the quality. If I'm not mistaken the spring carries current, which is not a good idea with a DNA40.

The FD ones are much better quality imo and don't rely on the spring to carry current. Your welcome to the one I have if you've a use for it.

To be honest i have tried a number of this type of 510 and i cant really detect much difference between them.
I tend to choose the one that will fit without too much agg.

hello

i received my order from modmaker

i have removed the standard 510 connector, the problem i've got is the hole for 510 is just a nats tw~t to small for the fat daddy v3 shorty i haven't got a drill piece big enough to widen the hole.

any ideas?

i did notice once standard 510 is removed the hole has a lip where the top of 510 sits on and its this tiny lil lip that needs to be filed down for the fat daddy to fit through

That's a very reasonable assumption

Yes thats right. The negative is a direct connection to the end of the board so you will have to solder a wire to it where you have broke it off drilling it out.

@windows when i looked and removed the 510 the wire to the middle was the only one attached, no sign of a negative wire ???

the only other wire near the 510 is the positive wire going to the + battery connection

There is no wire for the negative the board is soldered directly to the 510. Its the bit sticking out in the pic.
